  1. ok ok i'll be there too, with my super ultra scratches pine barrens scratched induced wagon!!
  2.:lol::lol: just sharing pictures of a fun day
  3. yeah i am lucky just for having a 2.2 non interference.. weird though that the pump has only 90k on it
  4. hmmmmmm :-\ today subarina decided to b..ch slap me back for all the abuse and hard work i put her through... about 4:30 pm when i came back home from my Junk Yard shopping i noticed a smell of antifreeze... well surely enough when i looked on the underside there it was, coolant coming from the right size of the water pump (the side that is closest to the center of the engine). so i right away decided to go to advance auto parts and get a new water pump gasket. On my way back, about a mile away from home at a traffic light she starts screeching for life, fans kicked on and temp sorta went from below half way to actually half way lol. thank god for those fans, well it turns out that my water pump seized and the timing belt was just smoking, heheh, she never fully overheated!! now u gotta love subies, driving a mile took me a few mnts driving like that and when i got home i turned her off and she was smelling like burning rubber from the timing belt... lucky me i have to do another timing belt job on that engine, the second one this yr
  5. hmmm where is the pic of "the cylinder" i think it will be a waste of money trying to rebuild a motor with 230k on it and the outcome may actually be worse than what we are actually hoping for... now the new engine will sure need some TLC and cleaning but i think its the right way to go... i hope we can finish it soon, now i am anxious about it too... next project will be 4wd and lift kit put in!!:lol: just kidding connie
  6. actually guys that has happened to me with one my legacies.. its a bad front VSS... it will make the trans shift erratically and speedo not work... change that sensor and you'll be ok... take a look at the picture that skip has posted and change that sensor, the VSS2... good luck Neo
  7. my 95 lego/outback http://s220.photobucket.com/albums/dd75/njdrsubaru/Pine%20Barrens%20August%2008/?action=view&current=HPIM3636.flv
  8. sounds like it may be cracked then if everything else checks... crawl under there and look
  9. a 40K o2 sensor going bad is unlikely,, now the 420 code is a o2 sensor right? it can well be your cat converter, is it the original?
  10. so i guess u have answered your own question, its the O2 sensor.. so whats the question?
  11. the screws for the holding plate on the rear of the handle have come loose so take the inside of the door apart and reattach the door handle and screws
  12. classic power steering pump leak, it leaks on top of the engine and it either runs back or front between the block and the timing belt cover... now fix that PS pump and wash the top of the engine.. however... with the amount of oil under the car, it seems like u have some other sort of leak somewhere, it aint coolant... check valve covers, rear cam seal and off course cam seals and crack seal if you are doing a timing belt... cam, crank and valve cover seals are usually the culprit of oil leaks on EJ22s as far as the heating goes, check yur Tstat as Nipper stated, that usually is the problem
  13. like i've said before, auto AWDs need the exercise during summer months, aka pine barrens :grin:
