  1. 06 Forester about 180K on it. Power Steering pump wines when cold. Belt looks good, fluid full but old. No leaks. I'm thinking of changing the fluid, but it works ok. Any ideas? Thanks, Larry
  2. You could have them welded up and then retap as well but a good used is the way to go.
  3. www.car-part.com ebay.com I most likely have one in Colorado, but I'm in Hawaii. So it goes.
  4. Was the torque converter fully seated? Trans light flashing 16 times on start? If so the TCU has codes.
  5. No exhaust to intake. So just another source of air. EGR video link below. Bing Videos
  6. If you have a tap, run it in to clean the threads. If you don't have a tap, make you own by cutting a groves down the threads from head to end of the bolt. Grinder, file, hacksaw.
  7. 12mm bolt. I've used longer ones as well. Ace will have them, just take the old one and match it, but longer.
  8. Yes fresh air from the airbox. I've tapped into the 1" dia hose going to the IAC and also directly into the airbox on cars that do not have the large IAC hose.
  9. Load, Ground, Power. Could be the harness. LoadPro on youtube will give you some great troubleshooting tips.
  10. No worries. Better to ask! Either wire is fine. You are just providing a ground to the computer to tell it to send the codes.
  11. I've also taken it to a good trans shop for an estimate and they have read the codes. Some will share what they find for free.
  12. The 5 pin connector is up under the drivers kick panel close to the center counsel. It taped to the wire bundle. Yes hard to find but it's there.
  13. Make sure the Hill Holder is fully released, if it has it. Dent in the trans pan from lifting? It only takes a little.
  14. Yes KYB are good struts. Another person posted a like issue a month ago. Compare the old to new. Are they the same with no weight? If so the spring rate may be different. If you step on the front bumper, do you get normal compression?
  15. Normal rebound when you jump on the bumper? If you jack it from the jack pad just aft of the oil pan, do the springs compress as normal?
