  1. It needs: Fuel Air Spark Compression. Figure out how to supply those things and you will be good to go.
  2. Only one.. HAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!...no
  3. Guys.. its called pay to play... If you want such a performer, shell out the cash and do it right. I disagree with this however. Having run stock, cut out and cone filter, I will say that as a free mod, the cutout is the way to go. Definite increase in highend power availability. Continues to pull past 6k, whereas before that just wasn't an option.
  4. Seem to remember hearing of a problem with early 80s soobs and the attachment point on the pedal.. perhaps this applies to late 70s as well.
  5. Thats a little high..but then again, the averasge pug owner charges more to other pug owners.. When I had my Peugeot turbo, I wanted another set of wheels.. and the average price I got from other pug owners was about $60 per wheel for 14 inch steels. On the other hand, I bout 4 14 inch steelies from a board member for ~$100.. and got the spare at the yard for ~$15.. with a good tire.
  6. Pics of the intake please..And I would like to secure first place in line if a bunch of this stuff goes up for sale
  7. It can be done in the car. Its easier to pull the engine. Depends mostly on the resources you have available. Beware of stripping the headbolt threads upon retorque
  8. Must have been interesting.. aside from the turbo 90 loyales, MPFI was not available in the Loyales.. D/R not at all. Most of the RSs I have seen have been SPfi.. have seen a couple of turbos in the yards though. Also, while the RSs have the wing and the front air dam, I have never seen one with the full RX body kit. The RS was a weak attempt by subaru to keep the RX alive until they came out with the WRX(JDM)
  9. Look here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17562&highlight=GL-10 Maybe here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12826&highlight=GL-10 Possibly here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10932&highlight=GL-10 theres more, but my search finger is getting lazy
  10. No idea.. box is long gone.. like a year ago.. will look next time I go to autozone.. If you happen to go looking for it, its in the rice section. Edit:PN on the package is 8141
  11. I'll be happy to sell them to your nissan buddies for $30:)
  12. Aluminum can be had from autozone for $15.99 .. Thats what I have on my car.
  13. Yup.. will work.. looks to have the same bolt pattern as a soob.. and having the square hole and round flaring will make it compatible with both Vane and hotwire cars
  14. 1) tell us what the long list of repairs was fromthe dealer 2) try the new gen forum..(ya know.. the place where all the legacy and impreza owners are) 3) welcome to the board;)
  15. Rear axles are the same. they do not need to be changed. the N/A D/R into a turbo car has been done before successfully. Sounds like you now have all the bases covered. I just wasnted to fill in the last blank for you.
  16. Correct. I have had both turbo and NA GL-10s. However, something like 80% of the 85+ GL-10s were turbos, so its usually a safe guess when the info isn't given outright.
  17. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21954 Its so clean you can't even see the back wall!!
  18. the spring I am using for the return spring on the clutch fork is the same as the 'reverse' spring on the 5 speed shifter assembly.. I pulled it off another soob.. As far as the helper spring on the pedal.. don't remember how it came apart.. and no soob here to look at.. seems there were some C-clips and cleavis pins, but its been over a year ago.. I had the whole assemble apart to do the cable I would look, but I currently have no soobs.. all are gone but the wagon and its being stored about 45 miles away.
  19. Actually, I don't belive there is an EPA rating for the H1... seems to me its one of those cars that has no sticker.. So I suppose its possible that some stupid soccer mom was completely blindsided by the fact it get 4 gallons per mile.
  20. You may want to consider full blown litigation against mother nature for having the audacity to put all that water on the ground in the first place.
  21. I have seen the 4EAT in turbo L-series from 88 up.. So if thats what you're after, look for those years. BTW, I think the loyale only came turbo in 90.. so you are effectively limited to a 2 year span
  22. Ok..wasn't sure.. never actually seen a FWD 5 speed soob.
