  1. Yea all admit that bumper is not the strongest. We are working on the next series that will all be tube bumpers. We finally have a connection with a high dollar tube bender so we should be making some real nice bumpers shortly. chucks will have to get the upgrade!!!
  2. Holy mackaral $260 for shipping to Oregon!!! That is rediculous. I have sent two lifts over to the U.K. for $120 u.s. and that was 3 day shipping. I could have shipped it on a cargo ship for $65 but it would have taken 6 weeks. I guess there aren't many planes that come from AU to Oregon.
  3. Hey don't worry we are getting the steering shafts out tuesday. We just wanted to make sure you got your lift so you could start installing it now. I should have notified you. Sorry about the delay, I know that these situations can be irratating. Its hard trying to please everyone.
  4. We are working on a front bumper right now for the forrester. Its kind of crazy but we have come across quite a few toyota offroad bumpers and we are converting one to fit on a legacy, if it works and fits well we will post pictures. As for roof racks I think we'll leave that up to TWB fabrications for now. As for a rear swing gate we could do a custom one if your interested?
  5. My friends went out for wheeling last weekend one was in a 1972 chevy half ton short box with 38's, and the other in a 1986 subaru D/R with AA lift and some 30" tires. Well I was quite suprised to see the stupid monster truck get stuck in some ruts and then after he got pulled out the subaru cruised right through. I think my buddy (Corey the owner of the truck) was pretty darned upset when he saw a vehicle half the price and half the size pull that off. I think its the one thing the subarus have over any straight axle vehicle (more center clearance below the diff). I don't see why you wouldn't dare to be different with your forester and do it up right by lifting it, putting large tires on it and doing a dual range conversion. Yes onroad drive ability will be hindered slightly but you will be the most unique vehicle on the road. I am ashamed of all you guys trying to persuade someone to purchase something other than a subaru, I thought this was called the Ultimate Subaru Message Board, not the you need to buy a Toyota because a subaru can't hack it board.
  6. No thats no tool thats the extended steering shaft. Bobby I won't know until I get back to the shop friday where it has shipped. JM AA
  7. We got ours at a junk yard for $150 for a complete set. Real cheap and real easy and its guaranteed to work.
  8. I personally think the lincoln log destroying EA 81 is pretty wicked. Anyone can jump a brat, but not everybody can drive over a lincoln log set.
  9. Chris: here is a tracking number: USPS 0303 0830 0000 8992 4300
  10. Next week I will have the prices posted for most of the products.
  11. 4x3 4x4 inch are all the same now no fabrication they are all just bolt on lift kits. We don't make 3" inch lift kits, well cause... Their weak sauce.
  12. Just to let everyone know we have been spending this whole weekend building and designing an EA to EJ adapter. It may be product that we are going to offer so keep tuned in and I will give updates on the progress.
  13. Yes we do sell spares a few members on the board have done so. Kingbobdole and madmountain monk. The cost for an extra is (cost for set)/4 x 1 or just simply (cost for set)/4= cost for one.
  14. I think in this case we can give you ginnea pig status!!! I have not lifted a XT6 yet with one of our lifts, but from what I know it should be similar to the EA82. I saw one lifted wcss7 and I think it was Qman, he would know if a EA82 lift would fit. I have brought this up on several occassions and have not heard anyone reply on the subject. JM
  15. I can take one of the tire on the swing gate this weekend and post it. As for the license plate ahhhhhhhhh errrrrrrr. Your just going to have to mount it on the bumper or wherever is appropriate.
  16. The christmas prices will most likely not be less than what anyone paid in the group buy, and the reason is because I am putting 20 k on the line to build a bunch of subaru products that will be completed and ready to ship. In the group buy we received your money and it inspired us to build like a bunch of chimps on coke. I don't know if that made sense...
  17. Here is a current one that we manufacture, we need to beef it up a little but we use the straight tube design, one because it is cheaper, two it matches the vehicle and three it is designed to be fitted with our swing gate. The new ones are going to have lips on the edge so there will be no gaps between the body and the bumper (price will go up though).
  18. Well we've got hold of a tube bender and I think we can produce some real nice bumpers for inexpensive (its the shipping that kills you). As for unitizing the skid plate into the bumper, that is a concept we have talked about because it would be considerably stronger than just mounting to your old mount points (albie the shop tech wants to go this route. But, deep down in my hand I know that not everyone is going to cough up enough coin to buy both products at once). We did build a bumper similar to the one pictured there, look below its on A dog's Subaru. I made a commitment to A dog that because he designed it that if we sold more that we would give him comission, well we haven't sold any, and I think it really got A Dogs hopes of becoming rich when he tried to advertise it on the AU subaru board and he just got slashed by the Australians. Those crazy blokes there just so funny :-\ . Anyways, I know there are a ton of people with our lift and BYB lifts so we'll make the skid for the replacement and maybe later build one that attaches to the bumper.
  19. Skid plates are definitely on the burner and so are the EA to EJ adapters (it seems a lot of people would like to get them with no reliable source).
  20. I definitely think Rooinater chux and soobmater win this round but maybe later...
  21. All of the lifts will be four inch. The skid plates for which we do have a mock up, will be able to work on all EA81 and 82 lifted vehicles. Haven't got to making the adapter yet, but thanks for reminding me, because all we have to do is make one and then we can pump them out like there going out of style. I probably should put together several swing gates but it all depends on demand (chris miller has seen mine on my vehicle he can tell you what he thinks of the quality). If there are any questions I missed just put some more posts in (also if there are any products I missed put a post in). Keep your parents watching the group buy!!! JM AA
  22. They will come when we have evaluated all of the costs. Expect them to be low.
