  1. Sorry about that I will remove it immediately.
  2. Definitely a mig with 75/25 and .30 thats what we use to build most of our lift components, although we do use a tig also. An arc welder is for more industrial applications, but is extremely strong if done correctly. I arc welded for four years, and am very good at it, but I hate replacing sticks all of the time and now prefer the mig and tig.
  3. Scott, It sounds like you will be extending your axles. trust me its not a good thing. They will work but your axles will be prone to snapping at any high angle. TRUST ME. Our first lift we developed (in order to correct the camber) we actually extended the front control arms about 3/8 of an inch. We'll sure enough it worked for fixing the camber it also worked on snapping front axles. If I were you I would drill a new hole in the output shaft from the rear axle stubs that is further out.
  4. Expanded steel is sooo Hot!!! Its so cheap too. I might have to incorporate it into our new prototypes. We just made our first bumper for the lifted Legacy you guys are gonna love it.... Pictures by wednesday.
  5. We could build something like that for about $200-400 a piece if like ten of you agreed on a design and could float the cash to design and build it. All I would do is write up the demensions have the metal fab shop start cutting the pieces and then assemble them at our shop. The only problem with the bumper you are showing is all of the contours and metal pieces that would have to be cut. It would be awesome to do a custom bumper like that, just need the funds to finance it. Who's in?
  6. Just give me a couple days, probably the fifth when I get back from my short vacation and I will get you pricing. I would know right now but we are having problems with billing from one of our vendors and we want to get all of the pricing squared away so we know if were making any money.
  7. Maybe they are worried about a shop not welding them correctly. A factory made part is going to be backed by the reputable company with extremely deep pockets, if someone dies driving a subaru, Subaru will most likely be reimburse the family for the death with millions of dollars. Where a small company on the other hand may only have 2000 dollars will not be able to pay the million dollars awarded to the family. I think thats what the deal is.
  8. Well you can always drill more bolt holes if you need them. I am just making a replacement part, because without the skidplate you have a lot to lose.
  9. It covers almost all of the models. So far it is specifically designed for the 4" lifted vehicle although if you put a 1" spacer under the crossmember it will fit on a 3" lift.
  10. In this picture it is not bolted all the way down.
  11. Allied Armament skidplate for four inch lifted vehicles. It is a direct replacement and will fit on any AA or BYB vehicle. The model pictured here is 10 guage stainless (equivalant to 1/8" inch), no rust no worries. Prices have not been set yet but expect them to be offered in our christmas group buy.
  12. Now we need pictures!!! I will have to work on the EA 81 instructions.
  13. Your looking to pay about $20-23 for a new basic legacy that is quite a bit more than you paid for yours in 96 and the options really haven't grown any nor has the power (unless you get a turbo). I could see why people get pissed when they pay that much and they could get a honda that is optioned out for the same price.
  14. Pm me. I will give discounts or trades on parts. the shipping is on seller. The best way to ship is United states postal service. Don't use the other carriers way over priced. I can paypal funds immediately I need as many as I can get. This is a good way to make an extra buck especially if you have a connection with a junkyard that has bunches of subarus and cheap prices.
  15. Go to a junk yard and get the struts. You can also lift the vehicle by taking the factory lift out of the Outback (use the struts and lift). Or you can just go with the struts and put a little extra strain on your axles and achieve more clearance. We make a lift for your vehicle so if you put the outback struts on you can get the lift and go big. For cheapness sake and depending on how hard you are going to 4x you may just want to go with OB struts. I don't think you'll have to worry about the camber because the front and rear of the OB are adjustable.
  16. Looking for steering shafts lots of them: 20 EA 81 manual steering shafts (will pay $15 a piece for them) 5 EA 82 Manual steering shafts (will pay $15 a piece for them) 20 outback steering shafts (will pay $20 a piece for them) Please PM me if you have some you'd like to sell. I can paypal funds ASAP. James Malarkey Allied Armament
  17. Your stripped bolt. To fix it easily or the easiest way we have repaired them is by pulling the carpet out and coming at them from the top side. You will have find the location of course and then drill a small hole to make sure you are over the bolt. Once you have located it cut out a small area of sheet metal that you can bend back and be able to put a mig or a tig in to weld the bolt back into place. Make sure to tighten the bolt before you reassemble everything and then put everything back into its respective place. Hope the information helps. JM AA
  18. No prices yet. Sorry about the phone number it is incorrect the number should be (503) 543-5154 not (541) sorry
  19. isn't that where they had WCSS7? I remember trying to go up that hill it is extremely tricky.
  20. By crickies your right the area code is wrong. Thanks I'll change it right away. Chux all the new bumpers are going to be made out of tube steel (so keep that in mind when you send the pixs) Thanks for the ideas.
