  1. I have to agree. Instead of dealing with fog, you have to deal with the smears from the fog-x. This is fine during the day, but at night, other cars lights make it nearly impossible. Just make sure you dont have the heat on recirculate and keep the rear defrost on.
  2. I've heard that, with some varying success, that in an svx you can drive the windows down in a rain storm and not get wet.
  3. Thanks for all of the responses. I think I'm ready to change it now, before it breaks and destroies my interference engine.
  4. Looking in the manual, the step-by-step brings up tool ST499977000. It says, "Using Holding tool ST499977000 or equivalent, remove the bolt that secures the crankshaft sprocket and remove the sprocket." What is tool ST499977000?? thanks, Phil
  5. http://www.spomotorsports.com http://www.boxer4racing.com http://www.cobbtuning.com http://www.perrinperformance.com http://www.scoobytuner.com http://www.vishnutuning.com Just some subie tuning sites that come to mind.
  6. I saw a hitch that had been welded onto the back of an STi, that was real cool. :-\
  7. For anything SVX, check out http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/. They know their SVX's over there.
  8. Stick with stock plugs. It seems that Subarus dont like anything else other than the stock ones.
  9. The grocery stores in my area have them, and wal-mart does too.
  10. You might want to take this question to the offroad section. Those guys know their Loyales and tire sizes.
  11. Check out Perrin performance, Boxer4racing, and Prodrive. I don't know how difficult it will be, but I would imagine that you could do it.
  12. The Roo for sure off the launch, but a 1/4 mile can be a long ways. I would put my money on the cobra, assuming there isn't excessive wheel spin (Drag Radials).
  13. I would think that those tires would fit, and if they do rub minor wheel well trimming should take care of the problem. For the peugot wheels, I would check the market place here, or mabey look for the miles fox subaru junkyard.
  14. That's Subaru engineers for ya:brow: . That could be one of the coolest things I have ever heard of.
  15. I have seen all of the posts suggesting it and it's seemingly positive outcome, it just never made any sense to me. I am not challenging you, I was just wondering.
  16. I don't mean to steal the thread here, but what does a tranny flush have to do with torque bind? I just don't see how a tranny flush would do any good.:-\
  17. 1.05 ps is equal to 1 hp. PS is the metric equilivant to horsepower. PS is the German word for horsepower, meaning the metric horsepower. The symbol ps is used for horsepower in both the Japanese and German automotive industies. http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/dictP.html
  18. Do a search on "Head Gasket". The early EJ engines are prone to head gasket problems, so that would be my first guess. My block was leaking (97 GT) and it was the head gasket seals.
  19. Good luck finding one of those. Everyone who has one knows how cool it is, and noone cares to get rid of them.
  20. Speaking of Prodive and SWRT (Subaru World Rally Team), what happend to the SWRT web site? and the WRC for that matter? Subaru, Citroen, and Ford are the only factory teams competing this year! I hope the WRC doesn't fade away:(.
  21. LosDiosDeverde is refering to this thread, I believe. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49618 Andyjo installed a switch on his duty solenoid c, which cut the signal to it. This locked up the clutchpack, giving the car have a 50/50 split.
  22. I hate the Hummers as well. That is one of my main problems with them getting one. And it would be soooo much cooler to have a turbo forester.
  23. That's about right. They have money, and rarely keep a car for more than 3-4 years. Hopefully they will see how bad these larger vehicles are.
