  1. I have been meaning to ask you if that was a kit or a custom fab? Nice work, I am sure you will enjoy playing with it!
  2. SubaruBrat = Rental V6 Mustang Well, not really, I am just irked because I welded the motor mount cradle in backward last night and I have to wait till I have help tonight to pull the engine and cut the mount out, then turn it around and re-weld it.
  3. I just replaced the whole dash because only the volt guage would have any compatability. The speedo is an autometer programmable and it works just fine. Very easy to set up. The Chevy encoder fits over the end of the Subaru cable once you notch it. Pics: AND THE SPEEDO PULSE GENERATOR FOR A CHEVY.
  4. Manual bro. It was easy to mount, just make sure you call Rancho and ask for a second tie rod bracket. It causes very little drag on the steering.
  5. I got it mounted, it was made for a Toyota and it adapted over just fine. I had to drill 3 holes on the crossmember but that was it. I also added blue boots to the shocks.
  6. Unfortuantly the rubicon video is on VHS. I can bring a VCR no prob so who can bring an inverter and TV? Further, we can setup a table, let the TV run the rubicon video all day and let the portable DVD player run the previously mentioned rally vid right next to each other. Food and stuff section added: http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  7. Now THAT is an idea!!!!! I have two of Ezaps off road videos. If someone can bring a VCR/TV combo (or singles) and power source I can bring the Rubicon Subaru video for passers by to see just what the rigs can do.
  8. I am going to add a FOOD section to the official page to keep an organized list of who is bringing what. I will just pull the info from this thread and any emails sent to me. http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  9. I have recieved everything that I needed from everyone and I will be submitting the list to the Carlisle office Tuesday morning. Give me a few days after that to organize some maps and such and post them on the site. As far as the convoys go. There is a west PA one brewing and a VA one that will be starting at 22734. Make sure you speak up here as to when and where you will be leaving from. UPDATE: Carlisle has the paperwork in hand and Kristine will be calling me back tommorow with the specific info. I have confirmed that grills and beer are allowed on the show field in the club area, so start getting things ready.
  10. http://www.subarubrat.com/bumper2.htm I have since removed the lights to clear the winch but the construction is the same. It has also been done in bedliner.
  11. That is fine, several people are. Carlisle said that he intent is to insure a minimum occupation of the given area as long as the car fits the theme, so don't bring a ford escort, unless it is one of those really wicked cosworth turbos, that could be excused.
  12. 25 out of 25 ZERO left to go. We have a club area. IMPORTANT: I may be contacting some of you over the weekend (will try to email tonight) for some additional info as Carlisle has changed what info they initially asked for. This only affects a few of you. If I have everything back the paperwork will go in this Tuesday a full week ahead of the deadline. Once I have the club area I will post details. But that is it, we met the goal and will enjoy the rewards thanks to each of you who stepped up.
  13. Do some research on the SHO gun.. They took a festiva/fiesta and gutted it, put a Taurus SHO engine in the rear and used some front end suspension parts too if I recall right. The car is an absolute monster. I did the measurements and a modified Impreza Xmember and front end gear could be fabbed in. AN EJ20T warmed to 280Hp would be a greatn powerplant, just use a modded tranny for front only output. Firewall after the front seats, mid mounted engine and everything works out nicely.
  14. "I know everyone has a different opinion but I think rancho shocks are over priced and over rated. (Dont spam me all you Rancho lovers) :-)" No spam, just recognize sour grapes when I see em'.
  15. ONE MORE TO GO!! 24 registered members so far. Maybe wagon78 is listed under his real name? Either way we still need just one more, wagon78 or someone's info. The lady I have to submit it to is in on Tuesdays so if someone steps up by Monday we will be confirmed a week ahead of the deadline! Latest news and status @ http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  16. For the rear you need a top mount of XP7 and a lower mount of LS26 or simlilar. If you go to www.gorancho.com and look at the specs of their shocks. They list the top mount, bottom mount, extended and compressed lengths. Just crossmatch the needed length to the type of mounts you need to get the rancho part number. You might not be able to find a LS26 exactly but any of the 12mm ones work with just a few washers to take up the space. You will also have to drill out the XP7 holes to clear the larger bolts. For the fronts, follow this: http://www.subarubrat.com/frntshk.htm
  17. ONLY ONE MORE TO GO!!! 24 down! Latest news and status @ http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  18. 4 years, 140,000 miles 300+ HP turboed EJ25 with unorthadox lightened pulley and a 9.5Lb flywheel, no problems.
  19. CALL 717-243-7855 to reserve a spot, 30x10 for $15 for the weekend. There is no information or order form on their site.
  20. Subafreak, I am so sorry I could not recall who it was, Your spot is held and you are fine. Your car leaves over 20x10 left, Pleanty of room for three tents. But that fills it up for me.
