Yea I thought that was kind of dumb too, they could have at least done an ea81 swap. Wouldn't have been any harder than the vw engine to get in there.

No cooling system to worry about though. Thats a huge space saver.

Is there any way we can hear that V12 Subaru? That is a V12 that Loyale 2.7 turbo posted right?

SJ

I mean h12 or whatever, I'm just really curious a bout it. Imagine that thing in a SVX or wagon of some sort, I would do that swap if it was realistic.

The Motor in that Manatee is a Duel carb EA71.

Subaru did on the other hand, make a Flat-12.

Hypathetically, you could probably never find one?

Yeah, right. I'm sure the only ones still in existence are locked away in Fuji Heavy Industries attic.

Plus, this would never fit in an SVX or any Subaru. an ER27 won't even fit in a Loyale without some radiator support fitting.

There was one on ebay in 2005, for $30k...

FHI only made two or three of the H12 engines durring their short flight in formula 1. They didn't do well so thier formula 1 plans were scrapped. I don't know all the details about the one that was on ebay. Such as if it was a hoax or not. But if it was it would most certainly be a collectors item, never to see an engine compartment.

I don't know about you, but if I had a Subaru flat 12, I would do whatever it takes to put it into a Loyale. :D

Moving the firewall, driving from the back seat, mid or rear-engined.... it's going in there. :D

Nope, it was the The Subaru 1235 Engine,

a Flat (Boxer) Twelve Cylinder engine, Not a V12:

I Always Liked the Yellow / Black Colour Combination, That's Why I've Painted both my Subaru Wagons in Yellow, but in Different Tone.

But Now I Found this "black & yellow" Loyale, See:

it is Named: Happy Cruiser!!! :)

If you look at this image, the car is stuck. Its too deep for that style of tire, plus having open diffs. Yeah, that picture is kinda a "lie" if you will.

That was my thought too... Ooops :drunk:

I'm sure it could make it up that snow covered hill no problem, the driver is at fault for bogging down.

And another one...
