November 16, 201312 yr Just had a guy I know send me this picture, it belongs to someone he went to school with. He's obviously a vey accomplished welder & I can see the effort he has gone to. I hate it though. He has some nice wheels though.
November 17, 201312 yr Hmmm I would have just run the pipes up through a hole in the bed rather than cutting into the sheet metal on the side of the body.
November 17, 201312 yr What is the idea of having twin snorkels in front? Those Huge rear Exhaust pipes' Heat will burn out the surrounding paint, unless they're fake... It is not criticism only, but I don't understand how the Driver will safely drive with the Huge "Thing" in the hood ... ... Recently I had to drive a Wedding car and the Huge ornament in front was obstructing the visibility enough to be Unsafe. Kind Regards. Edited November 17, 201312 yr by Loyale 2.7 Turbo
November 17, 201312 yr i think the front ones are snorkels... it just looks like he had a subaru brat but wanted a semi-truck
November 18, 201312 yr looks like my grandma's old car! that thing ran for 375k miles without any maintenance! not even an oil change! yes i know, terrible way to treat a subaru... but still a testament to their quality
November 18, 201312 yr Just got it running. I have to keep it streetable as it's the new family car (single dad of two girls), but the looks will change. Planning a lift, better tires, roof rack with lights and tube bumpers. basically a street and trail car for camping excursions, trips to less accessible coves at lake mead etc. not going too big unless I do an EJ swap. It has to make it around town daily first and foremost. Edited November 18, 201312 yr by CarpeNoctem
November 19, 201312 yr This is an Awesome 1969 Subaru FF1, well preserved (Only 84K Kilometers ~ 52K Miles) Not restored; many Photos here: ~► http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/SUBARU/SUBARU_OTHER/700050416520131107001/index.html
November 19, 201312 yr The wheels have been re-painted, note the paint that didn't wipe off of the wheels.
November 19, 201312 yr Also note the red over-spray in the wheel wells. Very nice car but not original paint.
November 21, 201312 yr Yep, you're Right... I only repeated what the ad said. Long years ago I had the opportunity here in Honduras, to ride in a FF1 coupe; it belonged to a Friend's dad, by the way, it had front "inboard" disc brakes... It was sold to some guy in Nicaragua and we never saw it again... The old thing felt pretty fast for its age... and the Steerin' wheel felt enormous for actual standards, I believe the Oversize was to compensate the lack of power assistance. Kind Regards.
