15" pug test fit

Featured Replies

so what do you all think, they got 205/50/15 cooper cobra GT's compared to the stock 13's with 185/70/13.

cant wait to get the lugs tonight so i can mount them and get some more pictures.

so what do you think?

Your car looks great with that combo. What lugs are you going to use. I've got the 14 inch pug alloys with factory lugs and they are not the same thread as the sub studs. Sub are 12x1.25 and the Pug are 12x1.50. I can't find suitable lugs anywhere.

^ the front looks much beefier

oh ya, the front has a 50 series on the front and the back has a 65.

Pug (505) lugnuts and sub lug nuts are pitch and diameter identical the alloy rims require two piece pug lugnuts and are lugcentric even on pug hubs hence the odd design of the lugnuts..

I recommend torquing the pug lugs up 2 90lb.ft of torque as this feels optimal for them..

also if you lower your car your tires WILL rub in dips and around corners at high speeds if you leave your suspension stock.. Also the pug alloys have a diff offset than the sub wheels and I HIGHLY recommend getting your tires realigned with the pugs on although your car will be perfectly safe if it was aligned with the sub wheels...it just made huge diff in how the car handled..sharper turn in etc..

Other than that, ENJOY! Hope you love yours as much as I love mine :-)

that car'll look mean with xt suspension in it... thats supposed to give you an inch or two...

All right!!!! Another guy lowering his 4wd Subaru!!! I'm not the only one anymore:D

But yeah, to get it lower, put some 2wd xt springs in it. Like said before, it'll drop you another 2 inches or so. I must say, lookin SAWEET man!!!:headbang: Can't wait to see ya at WCSS6:D

ya i cant wait to get the coilovers and ajustable perches. ill lower it about 1 inch or maybe a little lower, not too sure.

but i think it looks bitchin right now how she sites, expecally from the front, with those wider tires, she looks mean.

195/50-15 is just about exact diameter as stock RX tires 185/70-13 (?)

I currently have some 205/60-15's on pugs that didn't rub at a rally-x.

my wagon has those same pugs wiith 205-60-15s as well and has never rubbed. I have the rear shocks on the highest/third notch, and used to run with RX struts and springs in front. the front was jacked way up, and on a few occasions i was asked if i'd lifted it ...not yet but thanks! :D the RX struts were blown though so it was probably sitting too high though.

Now I have good GL struts (not adjusted up) with the RX springs and it sits much lower in front. I haven't driven it aggressively much since the change in the front, though, but no rubbing yet.

well what sucks is that i was told that 2 tires where toast, which was true, the belt was commin through on them, but the others i was told where good for a 40minute drive every day for work for a little while, and it ends up the are completly bald, so now i have to find some money to go get some tires, also do my oil pump since the ticking is gettin really loud then i can drive to work and school

Shean

I wouldnt be using the XT suspension....the spring rates are too soft. I had 205/60 13 tires rubbing up front with the XT suspension. Go for up rated, yet shorter springs for the front and rear.

taprack, the pug lug nuts have always fit on the soobie lugs with no problems.....

Your right, I tried them and they do fit. I was listening to the Tire shop guy who said they were different pitch and he wouldn't install them.

I still need two lug nuts to install my pugs. Anybody got some they want to sell?

i think your car looks B..E..A..UTIFUL! i really like the last three pics, (front and back/side.) umm umm good! i dont think ive ever seen those puggers before.

oh and your off road lights look a bit off center. :D

i think right now it looks mean, so lowering it would be like neutering it.

j/k looks great keep up the good work.

tyler

looks good. i was thinkning of drilling my hubs for a 4x110 bolt pattern and getting some 17s on my street race suby. i like the way it looks.

  • Author

no the lights are centered, i just didn't pay attition when i took the picture, i was off to the side.

and ya i think she looks sweet, but the one problem, the front wheels had a 50 series side wal while the back has a 65 i think it was, and the 50's on front look wussy, so now im going to go buy 4 new tires, maybe 215's in the back...

might just stick with 205, and keep her stock height, ill get pictures of the tires upclose later.

if you put diffrent tire sizes front and rear your 4wd will not work right. it could also break.

thats why i am not using 4wd, i know about that, happened to my grandpa, so i am just driving it like this in and out of the drive way, into to teh garage to do my oil pump stuff, then to get new tires.
