NWWO Run 04/26

I'll start looking for a spare diff to weld up. Anyone got an extra I can buy? I'm more concerned about my tires.

Kevin is right.  Unless your Wildcats are way bald you should be fine.  I ran a set at like 60% down LowerMainline once and they did fine.

All these taters trying to wheel vicariously through us...too funny. On a side note, so glad Bret Michaels could join us for a day of wheelin. Think he will autograph a couple of pics for me?

  • Hey Nick and Marcus, are you guys still rolling open diffs? If so we need to get you welded up for walker. You at least want an Lsd. Walker is a big step up from Tahuya, there is no easy option on mos

    no.

What is the minimum lift you would be okay with tagging along?

its been done on a 2" lift and welded rear diff. expect damage

Yeah a 2" is about minimum.  You could do it without but we would probably have to tow you through most obstacles.  I ran a 2", 27s and welded diff for quite a while, smashed my doors, rockers, hatch, rear quarters, bumpers and others.  Nothing major but definitely wont look the same after a trip or two.

Well codswallop... Guess I'll just have to go higher!

Don't worry about it. The body will self clearance. :)

How 'bout a pic from today when they're clear and not caked in mud?  Walker isn't a mud pit like the top of Ricky J's.

Here's one from the snorkel install. Pretty recent.

You should do ok.  There is only one spot on timber tamer that i can think of off the top of my head where you may need a little speed and some throttle.  But that all depends on the weather too.

But like Kevin said, Walker isn't mud bogs and deep pits.  Mostly just muddy hard packed trails with tree and rock obstacles.  Have you looked through some of our run pics on here or even my facebook?  They give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.  Most of the big hard stuff has bypasses too.

Im so stoked guys! I keep watching all the NWWO vids on youtube. I just have a few little things to get done before next week. I finally made a skid plate!

a skidplate is much cheaper than an engine.Even if it does reduce ground clearance slightly its much less nerve racking driving with a skidplate on because you don't have to be super extra watchful of the front end.

screw it ill go...nick lets meet up for the cruise...its a long one...jeff ill have $$$s for ya hit me with a number on fb... f it if i break it...noone ever has stories about the easy way right jesse?

I'm in. Stock Impreza, street tires, and lots of beers.Oh yeah. FWD.

This is gonna be fun!

South Enders...

Meet at Safeway on Canyon near 512 @ 6:30 and leave @ 7?

512 to 167 to 405 to I-5 is easier on some of the cars than taking I-5 all the way.

Marcus I'll be over at your house at 6:15. That safeway is about 20-25 minutes away from us.

Getting really excited about this run. Hopefully I get better by Saturday. I've had a 100-104 fever for a couple days. I don't want to go if I'm feeling like spoob

That's what I like to hear man! :Flame:

Just finished installing a new clutch in my car and fixing and cleaning all the crap from submerging it last time out. Will see you guys at safeway. :headbang:
