June 22, 201411 yr Very nice! Reminds me of these http://www.flygas.info/en/index.html What are you building these for?
June 23, 201411 yr MPFI EA81? I have been gathering parts for a similar "EA81T" build. I have two blocks going together now.
June 23, 201411 yr Author Bike carbs. I got the second head welded up today and made a start on the manifold. I'll need to relocate the battery but other than that it should all fit in nicely. Edited June 23, 201411 yr by cubastreet
June 27, 201411 yr hello, You beleave that these modifification could be done on the EA 71,EA 61 and EA 63 heads, too? You are thinking to weld,on the heads, alloy tubes? The angle of the welded alloy tubes it is important for the easy change of the spark plugs Edited June 27, 201411 yr by 1000 Pistes

June 30, 201411 yr ^ The "elusive" dual port EA81s heads - you need a matching cam to run with these heads!CheersBennie

June 30, 201411 yr looks like he has a cam to match...... Yep, but thought it worth while for the "sake" of others - they're not just a simple bolt on upgrade Cheers Bennie
July 3, 201411 yr Yep, but thought it worth while for the "sake" of others - they're not just a simple bolt on upgrade Cheers Bennie Pushrods are also a different length.
September 5, 201411 yr pics there above at #16 speak a few words, if you need more room to work with try the smaller hex plugs NGK's BCP6ES ? with the C being smaller hex that uses the slimmer 5/8" plug socket ?
September 6, 201411 yr Is it possible to bolt, directly, the EA81 heads on the EA71 block???? I saw some picture with some EA81 engine with EFI(MPi) system(with 4 separate fuel injectors). Is it factory equipment of modified ???? Edited September 6, 201411 yr by 1000 Pistes
September 7, 201411 yr No it is not possible to put EA81 heads on a EA71 block. The pistons are set further apart in the EA81 engine block. The EA81 heads you are referring to sound like the turbo heads. They were factory but only on the EA81T.
December 4, 201411 yr Author Yeah progress has been pretty slow on this one - life gets in the way. My valve stem seals are really bad now, I leave a cloud of smoke at the bottom of every hill. That gives me some motivation to get in with it. I'm angling the carbs backwards so I won't have to relocate the battery. Should look and sound pretty cool and hopefully have a bit more get up and go too.
