this v8 swapped 85 wagon circulating on craigslist -I'd love to see a picture of the engine bay!

Seems like this is time to quote this post here:

For the one who wrote such Craigslist's ad...

Photos and Videos of the V8 engine there, or it didn't happen.

However, I have posted photos and Videos of V8 swapped Legacies and Imprezas, But not a Loyale without body modifications; the V8 loyale was only a loyale's body mounted onto a Chevrolet frame + Drivetrain...

Kind Regards.

Someone has posted that exact same description about another subaru last year on craigslist. Probably a hoax. Doesn't even exist

I've seen an outback on a blazer with a buick 446 (somewhere around there). Spooled front and rear. Posted the ad here a while ago.

ive thought about putting a Buick 215 alluminum block V8 into one of my wagons, looks like it would fit!!! hahaha

Looks like a good project which is stopped for a while, isn't it?

... must be pretty fun to build and drive.

I posted many Subarus with weird engine swaps, on this thread:

Kind Regards.

Sadly, it's nowhere near running. Engine has been seized for like 15 years. I just bought it to keep the brat parts out of a junkyard, I figure someone's gonna need some windshieds or what not somewhere down the road

So, did you purchased that Brat, with the V8 already in its engine bay?

How much advanced is the adaptation work?

Kind Regards.

It's very simple. Wouldn't trust it on road. It's a Jeep CJ5 with an amc 401 in it. They just placed the brat body on, welded it on the frame rails, along with bolting it on in a not so safe way. There's no conventional body mounts like a truck. I'll take some pictures later.

I don't think the Brat counts, seeing as it's just the body mounted onto another chassis :P

I've seen a Toyota 1JZ turbo with matching RWD trans mounted into an early Legacy wagon. Let's just say that a lot of the transmission tunnel was cut out and replaced, and it's not road registerable ;)
