PhotoBucket fix - broken pic links

Featured Replies

Since PB decided to maD1CKx.png its users, I'm posting this up.

Update: There are 2 extensions  - Chrome and Firefox - I found and tested (on Chrome only) that work. Add the extensions and fotobucket links start working again. Posted on the Legacy Centrals site, so 'should' be legit:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fix/
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg

Also, I originally had this info, which may still work:

If you find broken Failbucket image links and want to see the pics, try putting "~original" after the ".jpg" in the IMG tags.

Thanks to Mr. P. Olsen on NASIOC who states this works 90% of the time ('til PB finds out?).

is there a way to search for broken p'ket links?

or imageshack for that matter - I may try it with i'shack

tried it a coupla times with imageshack - didn't seem to work plus , I get this warning banner:

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

What I fear is that photobucket will fold and ruin zillions of threads since like 2002. I know I started using it around 2003 or 2004, that's a lot of posts I've done that are now missing images.

They already have ruined millions of threads accross the internet... Surely only a matter of time before Photobucket is gone too.

Failbucket, Photophucket, Image-hoseing.... lol.

Only a matter of time before someone pulls the plug on that zombie.
