PK Davis can make you a 4" Lift kit. if you want to go any bigger than that, you'll need to make one yourself.

 

4" should be plenty of room for your 1983 to fit some 28" swampers.

Mudrat ("Mudrat79" I believe is his login), can make lifts up to 12" and will install them. His 12" lifted hatchback was used on the rubicon so the parts have been proven to hold up to abuse.

then it'l take a little bit of cutting/hammering to let the 28's spin freely...

the 27" swampers are actually about 27.6" or so...

You could run those tires with just a BYB 3" lift from Ozified.
