Anyone know where this goes?

Its off of an EA81 carb'd. It has subaru markings on it, so it is a subaru part. Wondering if it would keep water off of important things.

At first glance, it looked like the plastic splash/dust/whatever guard on my EA82's sits upright right in front of the throttle-body with cutouts pointing down and sliding over tubes, etc.

But my EA81 carb'd doesn't have it, so I don't know. Sorry.

They usually sit behind the carb on 2wd models, well I've only seen them on 2wd models anyways. They are not important and were usually tossed out by dealership techs. If I were you I would just store in the circular file cabinet.

That's funny, I had one of those sitting under my spare on my 81 dl wagon. It was 4wd though. That thing even stayed in the spare tire area when the spare wasn't there, didn't fall out or anything. I didn't know what it was so I just left it there.

Summer has one! So they must have come on 82 4WD's.

Neither me or the dealer ever removed mine.

However the dealer always removed the distributor guard everytime it went in for service. Finally the dealer wrote "winter use only" on the guard---as he left it in the spare....

Maybe they should see why we use them.
