Yup, Joe Spitz's...I was surfing around years ago when I found that site, and then somehow I landed here:grin: ..maybe by way of Junkie's old site, before he moved to California. Can't recall the exact order, but both were seen before the old USMB.

he says the svx was a 3.0L Wasn't it a 3.3L or am i mistaken

I don't know about that, but I do recall noting a couple of things that I thought might be small discrepancies/ambiguities. I can't remember what they were, but nothing major. Still a great site, and I also found it the same time I found this site while I was surfing around looking for an engine.

Yes, the SVX is a 3.3, biggest Subie engine to date.

Gary

has anyone checked out the classified section on that site.there's like 8 svx's for sale.

added the site to fav list.

The guy seems to know his Subies,

However I was a little unclear on when Subaru quit making 2wd? I was looking but I musta missed it? Clearly this should be noted in his history section.

According to my parts interchange at work, the last year of 2WD Subarus was 1996 for the Impreza and Legacy and 1995 for the SVX.

Though, I've seen very, very few post-1994 2WD models around, if any.

Mr. Spitz should also get credit for being an attendee and supporter of the first West Coast Subaru Show. And I believe it was he who talked the SOA guys into driving up from Oregon to attend. Without his support this event might not have started or continued. Trivia question: What kind of boxer did Joe Spitz drive to WCSS1?

My guess is a VW beetle, cause you would have said what kind of subaru... if it was a subie.
