I'm in...anyone else?

We are doing this again and if you want any info on it please check out: www.carlisleevents.com it is the Import and kit car show.

We need 25 cars for this event and when you register please refer to us as "Ultimate Subaru" so that your reg counts toward our goal. Last year was a great show but a little thin in the numbers.

list to be updated as people confirm registration:

Matt: 3 cars (83 gl, 95 imp, 99 legacy)

i will hopefully be in, with a 79 wagon:) my birthday is May 18th

that's when my brother's child is supposed to be born.

Unless you are the father as well as the uncle:eek:  I see no reason why you can't come to Carlisle.:D

I plan to be there, hopefully one of my cars will be running at the time :D

hmm, Google Maps shows it being a 46hr drive and either coming or going I would have to stop and see my brother in Kansas, which is a 7 hour detour. I have enough vacation time save, and I think I have the funds but no copilot. Maybe next year I'll take the GL across country

ive already put in to have that friday off! should i look into getting a keg? :brow:

I'll run it past the wife, and see what she says. I doubt she'll be up for a 5 hour drive, but if I bring back enough pics to entice her, she might be grab the next meet in the N.E.

I'll see if i can when we get closer to the date. I may show up in the honda though. 1.6L of vtec madness seems a better road warrior than 1.8l of overheating bent and cracked noise.

THAT'S RIGHT! East Coast Subaru Show III is coming up!

I have already registered our club and I am working on the website right now for tracking registrations and planning events. I should be putting this up soon. We will have all the goings on of the prior years at the East Coast Subaru Shows. I will be bringing the grill, Subie flags, and of course the movie projector and 12x9 Ft screen. Last year was a spectacle with us all kicked back in the chairs watching movies and downing beers and bratwurst. No club has a shindig like we do.

-More news to come soon!

ive been thinking about this show since november. does this indicate i have a problem? ;)

I'll try to make it. it will be the three doors first road trip

I just took the legacy 700 miles in one day... never taken it farther than 60miles away so far.. seemed to do fine. in other words, I see no reason I can't make it, even if the xt6 isn't back up and running by then

I will hopefully be there in a '73 wagon and a '94 Justy.

:drunk:cool! we didnt have a huge turn out last year, this year id like to see a few of the older subies out there. the oldest we saw was a 360 van. now i doubt anyone would bring anything older than that, but any subaru is welcome! if we could get one model of every subaru ever built, that would kick rump roast. id love to have a line of subarus showcasing the company's history and evolution!

Are you reading this Ben??? sounds like a challenge to get your "project" done by May...

i might be there with a 78 brat and 69 sube 360 pickup hopefully.

i was thinking it would be cool to put tracks going right up to the roof on the brat, and carry the 360 truck on the back:grin:

i think i know what daves talking about... bring it!

I'll have my 3 door there:grin:

the brother says "you'd better be here when my baby is born!"

I says "your baby had better be here before I'm ready to go!"

Count me in! I'm about an hour from Carlisle. Is this going to be at the fairgrounds? Is it an "Import Car" meet, because I thought Carlisle refuses to hold them any longer. Apparently a few years ago, some uh..."enthusiasts" didn't know how to behave themselves, and Carlisle stopped hosting the import shows......

Fill me in. :)

This is a "classic" car show but you are invited too. Subarubrat brings his sti also. Last year I showed my 05 OBS so....

We like to have a mix of old and new...I am planning on showing my nearly mint 83 and I am going to register my 95 imp. too....I just picked up a 99 anniv. edition last week so it will be registered too but may not make it there. If you do register PLEASE refer to our club when you do it. We need 25 cars to show in the specal area and to get a tent.

Anyone: I talked to the promoter of the show at the Harrisburg auto show the other week and told him we are excited to be back this year. He seemed genuinly interested and was glad to hear this. WHEN YOU REGISTER PLEASE REFER TO US AS ULTIMATE SUBARU SO WE CAN GET OUR CLUB AREA!!!!!!!!!1

I'm going to update the orig. post with a list of cars that are going to be entered....if you are an absolute definate please say so and then please register now so that you get the cheaper rate for doing it early!!!!!

The website for show/club organization will make it's debut soon as well as some feed and drink announcements!

05STI, bring that STI, I brought mine and hope to have both the STI and BRAT there this year. You are so right about the other Carlisle show also known as the (word deemed offensive) show. This show has NOTHING in common with that show. This show is more like the Subaru, Saab, Opal GT, MG, Tiumph, sort of thing. For those of you who don't know what 05STI was mentioning, there is (was) a show at Carlisle that was mostly Honda/Hyundai/Geo etc. and no bones about it the show was a perfect representation of the worst stereotype you can come up with for the (word deemed offensive). Where as our crowd has a clean-up crew after the show to make sure that every scrap of garbage is picked up, their folks knock over trash cans. They do burnouts (such as a geo storm with 500lbs of aftermarket bling can muster) at every light, and generaly pose a danger to the public. That show has been kicked out of every place they have moved it to. This is NOT that show, this is a much different affair.

Stay tuned for the website, a list of registered cars will appear there as well as the goal for registration and getting our own club area!

ALSO, should you register now or when the website is up please make sure to email me so I can include you in the paperwork I have to submit to the Carlisle folks!!!!
