February 16, 200719 yr Basically its a Garrett gt30 feeding an eaton m62 for 23 psi! This was untuned, lean, without the meth injection, external wastegate, 3" downpipe..... I dynoed it with only about 1 week running! Wheeeeeeee!
February 16, 200719 yr you are a crazy mofo. Got that hood on yet? Getting rid of red parts car so if you need a door or fender let me know. Richie
February 16, 200719 yr Author The tranny is a stock 1990 legacy tranny, with 6 puck disk, forester flywheel and RS pressure plate. The SC is an Eaton M62 from a Mercedes.
March 10, 200719 yr Author Took it to the track last week. 11 runs (the bad run was the 11th) Check out how much MPH I gained in the upper 1/8th! I was spinning HARD off the line, lots of moisure. and the unhappy piston from run 11
November 16, 200718 yr Author Never updated this from the last era..... Reinstalled a 2.5 low compression motor.... 320-340 whp with close to 380-400 torque. 12.5 @ 112 mph Then lost the transmission (3rd gear) Fixed the tranny, #1 piston went out the next day. Built a whole new motor with 100mm Mahle pistons, did a 13.1 @ 105 at only 14 psi untuned.!!!!!!!!!!! Then ate 1st gear last run of the year at PIR. Awaiting another tranny rebuild.... Here are some pictures.
November 16, 200718 yr Wagons rh00L!!! Wow, this must cost you a small fortune each weekend you hit the track!! Is that a Skyline behind you in the last picture?
November 16, 200718 yr very nice. looks like its a blast to drive. and that looks like a civic behind in the last pic there.

November 16, 200718 yr why do you keep blowing transmissions, are the EJ transmission that weak? interesting to know. are the turbo transmissions any beefier.
November 16, 200718 yr Author I have only blown one tranny due to racing. The first went out when I simply mishifted into 2nd at 6500 rpm..... The second time I suspect a tooth that didnt get cleaned out the 1st time finally made its way into the gearing as I was shifting OUT of 4th, when third gear got eaten up. This last time 1st gear was sheared due to a 550 ftlb preassure plate that has an on/off feel. With hundreds of drag runs, I don't feel its that weak at all. It almost all comes down to driving style.
