ea81 strut rubber

Featured Replies

are the rubber top pieces the same on ea81 front wheel and 4 wheel drive struts?

that is, can you use the rubber from a front wheel drive strut to build a four wheel drive strut?

I got a set from a dealer about 2 years ago but I don't remember the part number of the price.

Don't know if they are availible from dealers now or not, but they are all 2wd and 4wd alike part number 7210 33010

I bought 2 strut caps for my Brat back in Nov of last year, got them from the Dealer. They are not cheap, I think they were over $40ea.

I've gotten strut mounts at NAPA befoe and I think they were $60+ each there...

the Gen1's have norrower tops I believe...

The Gen2 caps are the same for 2wd/4wd, but they have an arrow as to which way they point for each....

What would happen if you did install the strut tops in the 2WD position on a 4WD vehicle? It looks like it would increase your caster (Not a bad thing for me) but I'm not sure why Fuji would have spec'ed it differently. I'm installing my new struts right now and was debating which way to put them in.

I put the cut springs on the hatch with the strut top in the 2wd position, it did seem to change the caster on them, and the drop helped out the camber like you wouldn't believe.

on a 4wd vehicle, if you install them in the 2WD position your wheels look like this \../

Hmmmm, good to know. I ended up installing them in the 4WD position just to get them in.

On a side note, it looks like I'm winning my battle for negative camber!
