hey on wed nite i was moving some rather heavy boxes in my 85' GL and it did'nt bottom out all the way but it did level it out with the front which made it look very very nice. now that takes me to my question. what can i do to level it out without all the boxes in the back  . in other words wat do i need to do to the springs??? i will appreciate your help.

Buddy

is this 85 gl a 4x4 ?

4x4 s has a ajustable rear spring support, yours may be all the way up

Yup, check under the rear seat for a rubber grommet right in the middle. Pull it and you should see a bolt head, it's a 17mm or 19mm, that is your torsion adjustment. I think if you "loosen" it, it will lower the rear.

No, thats for EA81 cars, on an 85 wagon the adjustment is on the coilovers

Does the 4X4 Loyale wagon have the same thing as the 85 GL?

No.

And not all 85's will still have it as often the coil-over's have been replaced. You can always change the springs.

on top of improving handling, you can change springs up fron to give you a llittle lift without stressing the system ,and others have done numerous different configurations on the rears.

search around for references like ,ebay coilovers, honda rear springs, and such.

i am sure you will find something satisfactory.cheers, brian

I Suggest the same Thing I`ve Done, it can Help:

  • Rear: Swap the Springs with Honda Accord`s Front Springs, They`re almost the Same Size, just Thicker and can Handle more Weight.
  • Front: Swap the Springs with Ford Tempo`s Front Springs, They`re almost the Same Size, just a Li`l bit Thickers and they got Two extra (More) Thinner Turns, to Increase Li`l Bumps Absortion.

Good Luck! :burnout:
