No, they are not one and the same.

The HP came about many years ago, there were 3 original members.

The HP has some active members still (me) but for the most part, the NW Off Road group are more active. And they came about less than 5yrs ago.

They are also based further up North and the HP is more Central/South Puget Sound.

HP has a few rally guys in it judging by the pics on their site.

 

 

is NW WA Off road like this too? I need some more info now because I'm realizing I'm more interested in the rally side of off road than trail riding.
