July 23, 200916 yr Thats gonna be some fun. Are you going to make some short rear doors for it, or just weld in some skins? Be kinda neat to have gear access on the sides.
July 23, 200916 yr "I like it, should be very good on the trail." Oh yea. Looking good. :clap:Rust sidelined this one and it needs a rollbar. Edited July 23, 200916 yr by Quidam

July 23, 200916 yr Author chopped the top off and got the rollbars in place last night , the rear is so light I need to find some softer shocks/springs , anyone know of some that would fit maybe I could just change out the spring on the stock strut , of maybe theres some longer travel softer coil over shocks I could put on the back
July 23, 200916 yr Build your own, its easy, works great for me. Or these guys. Or a pair of air shocks from NAPA for 80.00.

July 24, 200916 yr Author it drives found some VW jetta rear shocks they look 4-1/2" longer with a lighter spring , will see if they work should be softer and longer travel Edited July 24, 200916 yr by Scott in Bellingham detail
July 24, 200916 yr Nice roll bars... I assumed they would be shorter, with the sammy windshield in there, but I like that better.
July 24, 200916 yr Are you going to go wheeling or look for lions??????????? Jeff I like the ATV tire seat. I think that should stay. Way better than the milk crate I used to drive an old Triumph around once. Seriously. Looking good. Can't wait to see it done.
July 29, 200916 yr Author 2 weeks into it Happy with how its coming together, glad I shortened it 12"
July 29, 200916 yr im diggin it scott, my only concern is the strength that was removed when you cut the roof off as well as sectioned the body. are you gonna add more to the cage? im just wondering if it would fold it self in half after a few times out.
July 29, 200916 yr Author I like the way it looks without the doors and fenders... more of a buggy... the doors are gutted basically just the outer shell, will keep people in ,,,and mud and sand and water out , front fenders will be modified
