  1. well the sedan is out of storage and ready to get the upgrade steering rack half of the wagon came home lol, guess its time to install stuff so we know the motor and transmission fit but this little turbo has a issue, had a feeling this was going to happen but there is a fix . Borger Warner makes a shorter wastegate and bracket for this very reason
  2. The EA81 oil pumps are SO EASY to break when removing them. Be VERY careful when removing it and you can probably just reseal it. Don't use a hammer or mallet to remove it.
  3. Hi to All and thanks for tour answers. @Turkeyberry, removing the rack is quite easy. I unbolted the inner rods from the rack, then loose the the steering column joint, the 2 hyd lines that go into the steering, near the column, then you remove the 4 bolts that hold the rack in place. oh yes, and you have to remove the exhaust from the headers to the resonator. This may be tricky if you have seized bolts... @el_freddo, yes, I found a shop near me that will rebuild it for about 40 USD. Saludos! Rafa
  4. XT is a whole different body. DL/GL have manual retracting antenna on the a-pillar. XT has it on the rear fender.
  5. The oil pump housings are brittle and I reckon most sales of new pumps were for replacement of broken ones during a seal replacement job. Cheers Bennie
