  6. i know its an old thread but my camaro was getting 5-7 mpg no code v6 3.1 changed o2 after weeks of changing everything else went up to 20+..then i got rid of the pos lol
  7. all we really need for a ej dual range setup would be the front 2 case halves from that type of trany our internal ea dr should slide right in...and the tail shaft section/transfer wil bolt on the ej case.
  8. i hope you didnt think iwas pissed off sorry if you did im not and wasnt.
  9. id like to see the pics to side by side...not saying they arent just ive lifted a couple and didnt see a difference. btw the arms will bind if you go to high without moving the mount.but if just changing struts witHout adding any spacers no problems.
  10. you just want yours to be like mine lol
  11. the rear front wheel drive legacy struts are longer than the rear outback ones, i used the rear outback ones to lower my 2wd wagon 2"
  12. took the parts off to build the struts for the white one but am planing on building some custom struts for the sedan but thats a whole different off road car.
  13. Never lifted a lego before so here is whats been done so far... the front looks higher but it was parked on a landscape tember it has 215/75/15 tires for now
  14. I have 215/75/15 tires on my 91 lego with the outback struts. If you want a better offset find a set os steel wheels off of a Grand Am
  15. this is how i fixed my problem too to inner joints on one axle shaft http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj50/subaruloverbrad/subaru%20sedan/HPIM1444.jpg[/img]
  16. ive built both an ea81 and 2 ea82 t cased cars i still own and drive my ea82 tcased sedan. I have used bothe the samuri and the datsun and aggree with almost everything said so far. i have lost zero ground clearance on my sedan but it took a lot of trans tunell work to make it fit. If there are any specific info you need or want even certain pics of anything about my car i.m. me At subaruloverbrad on yahoo messenger anytime. I am more than happy to help. And btw if ANYONE needs help and is reasonable close i will help you do any of the conversions i have done so far. Which are ej swap WITHOUT adaptors ea spfi swap Wiring only t-case conversion 3,4,6,and current 8" lift(s) 6 lug conversion disk brake swap 390 and 411 lsd swap there are probably more just ask and ill try to help as much as i can.
  17. that sounds like an idea. what about making a "bolt on" ej bellhousing that replaces the factory one you have to cut off?
  18. Hey scott i was wondering that too...can you or would it be feesable to cast front ea82 dual range case halves with the larger bellhousing of the ej case halves?
  19. i have hauled many cars with my ea81 rusty wagon... i pulled a for ltd with my fwd auto ea82 wagon.. i pull lots of cars and havent had problems yet. The harness for tail lights is in my tool box started raining.it goes through the spare tire well and across rear or car and throught bumper holes the plastic cover is now empth and held on with the side 6 bolts....

  21. ea81 dual range ea82 dual range ea82 pushbutton ej 5 speed awd the pinion shaft looks a lot longer in the ea case than the pinion shaft in the ej case which makes me belive that they arent interchangeable. BUT since the rx full time case has a center diff, i bet that shaft is the same length but havent ever taken apart that case.
  22. oh ok here in bristol its not so stop and go. i hate ny traffic.
  23. amy last t-case i installed sits in the center of the car inside the tunnel lots of cutting a 6 inch lift will barley alow enough clearance for the fron diff im thinking on a 4 inch lift couldnt you raise up the engine 2" above the original placement of course on my t-case lifted roos i use two front crossmembers the engine crossmember only holds the engine its cut down to be an engine mount.
  24. I just made an trip from bristol VA to the southern edge of PA in my auto full-time 4wd 1991 Legacy and got an average of 31.6 mpg with body damage 234K miles and a i belive slighty out of alignment frontend (pulls to the right) Something must def be wrong.
