  1. Had our monthly meet yesterday at the Dragon. I had never ran it before and was really impressed with how my RS did. Alot of the WRX guys were running RE92 tires and I was out handling them in the corners. Here are the pics, enjoy: And one for Connie:
  2. My vote goes for t-stat was well. Make sure and get the gasket that goes with the Subaru t-stat.
  3. Yeah, just paint the thing and go with it. Least they put a Subaru scoop on there and not something from JC Whitney.
  4. Its a great walkthrough, I followed it when I replaced the cable in my BRAT.
  5. Just a tip. If you do have to replace the clutch cable, make sure and get it from the dealer.
  6. Sounds like a clutch cable stretched or out of adjustment. I would check there first.
  7. Welcome here. For future reference, please post here for wanted parts.
  8. You won't want to go back. I played with EA81s for a few years before getting my 2.5RS.
  9. Are you able to get hot air out of the vents? At first it sounded like tell tale signs of a heater core stopped up. First thing I would do would be to replace the radiator cap. My brat did some goofy things with a bad radiator cap.
  10. It certainly is NOT the STi, that is the tranny to have. 02's are the ones most susceptible to breaking. But most of it depends on how it was drove.
  11. Tranny condition and modification level is the first thing I would look for. Do some reading on NASIOC in the newbie section. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34
  12. It could be the boy racer in me, but I think it needs more hoodscoop.
  13. Everything that I have read about this code points to the after-cat o2 sensor. My RS throws that code every few days too, just not got around to replacing it yet.
  14. The cool thing would be to get an old Legacy postal vehicle and swap one in that way.
  15. Won't fit a LHD vehicle without serious modification, that is why they are dirt cheap. Issue is with clearance from the steering column and one of the turbos. You would be 1000x better off swapping in a single turbo motor.
  16. Thank you John. I was going to bow out of this one gracefully and let Darwin handle the rest. Seriously dude, don't half-rump roast your head gaskets. Take the $50 and go to your dealer and buy a set of head gaskets, $42.95 MSRP and $31.44 from subarugenuineparts.com. Then man up like the rest of us and either pay a reputable place to change them or do it yourself.
  17. Yeah, it may stop the HG from leaking but what else will it stop up? The same principle applies for radiator stop leak. Fix the head gaskets right the first time and enjoy.
  18. Just got this email back from him: "I am at work right now and it is suppose to rain most of the day today. After I get home from work, I could send you some older pictures when the car actually looked pretty good. It is not suppose to rain tomorrow, I will push the car out of the garage and take some pictures. It is a two door GL model. Yellowish beige color with a dark brown top."
  19. I just seen that as well on my local craigslist (I live 20 minutes away). I wonder how good of shape it is in....
