  1. If you would take the switch apart, you would know for sure. Odds are that you can replace the bulb.
  2. Master Cylinder might be a little worn out. I'd go with the "pathetic brake lines" excuse. The stock brake lines are some sort of hard rubber that expands easily. Replace those with Stainless Steel ones and you should get noticeable improvement. Also, after braking a lot, you should expect fade as you're basically boiling the brake fluid.
  3. As I recall, the ABS sensor reads a disc mounted on the hub to determine if the brakes are locking up....
  4. Waste of money. They'll blow in a year. Silverstar bulbs don't last.
  5. You are correct. The bearing and abs sensor are separate. I don't think a spraying CV would cause the issue you describe. I say replace the sensor and/or abs disc and have a good day.
  6. I think it's been decided that the Bridgestone RE9xx series sucks at everything.
  7. You must have poor searching skills, a thread about de-amber inserts on the bbs is fairly new.
  8. You shouldn't ever be in a situation where you need the ABS. You should always be following at a safe distance. And, it's best to learn how to pump the brakes anyways.
  9. I do what is considered "city driving" and I'm a teenage driver. I can squeeze 20-23 out of my car. That being said, I don't floor it at every stoplight.
  10. You're on the BBS, there are tons of threads about it. Search first before you make threads.
  11. Yes. The EG33 (3.3L) has an IAC and it probably needs cleaned. Check over at: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum
  12. Why do you need to replace it? Unless you live in the desert or in downtown NYC, I fail to see why you need to replace it.
  13. No. If you want a CD player, get a brand new radio or hunt down the attachment. Why if you're getting a radio with the aux would you want a CD player as well? Seems redundant to me.
  14. You're on ebay! That's why! Get somebody who's close to a JY to sell you one for half that price.
  15. Why not just scrounge one from a car with the kind of radio you want. It would be a lot easier than getting a jack and wiring it in yourself.
  16. They don't work. Just a scam to try to get people in.
  17. Josh, on my car the connectors are black and green...I have two green and one black. The black one into the green one makes the CEL blink its codes...
  18. Only ricers get 20 inch rims. Just get a nice set of 16's or 17's so you don't have to roll the fenders and put down a bigger footprint.
  19. So, most of you probably didn't know, but last week I was having some issues with my car and I thought it was a MAF sensor So, I replaced the MAF sensor today and here's what my car did: Thoughts?
  20. Green into black, not green into green. Green into green is diagnostic mode. Green into black is "blink code" mode.
  21. True. But in 1997, the EJ22 went to intereference, and it was SOHC.
