  1. The bolts are M6x1.0, not sure on the length but very short. My favorite bolts to use for the separator plate are oil pan bolts.
  2. I used 11044AA642 head gaskets on an 01 legacy 2.5 SOHC last week. The machine shop took 0.006" off of each head. Its running good with no problems.
  3. hey mike, you still check in here?

We cleared out of the castle. Shut down the business, gave away the boat.

  4. p1507 will put the car in limp mode which cuts the #1 injector. replacing the injector won't help.
  5. If you take off the valve cover, there is a hex section on the cam you can put a wrench on for a counter hold when tightening and loosening the cam bolt. Line up the timing marks before removing the belt and the pistons are low in the block. If you move 1 cam at a time away from the marks, there won't be any interference.
  6. Make sure the cam position sensor is plugged in. Another thing that can cause this is air in the fuel system. Key on and off a few times, before cranking.
  7. It's getting pretty lean out here. Happ cleared out of the castle. We're shutting down the vegie oil business.

    What happened to your arm?

  8. yeah, no ************ ! back here all busted up with a broken arm& a bunch off screws in it....

wish i had that car here now...wish i knew about all this Suby stuff then and whats possible to do whith the little buggers...bunch of em out northwest , was out there last year & earlier this year , to bad i didn't need one at the time....way it looks here , may have to take trip west & drive one back this way...so how goes life on the rock?..

  9. Hey Mike,

Are you back on the east coast? this is kahea.

    hope you're doing well.

I see your old grey loyale running around kapaau still.

  10. This could be play in the tie-rod ends. The outer ones are visible, and the inner ones are inside of the boots at the steering rack. You need to wiggle the wheels and look at these joints to see where the play is.
  11. I had a chinese clutch disk spit out a spring and cause some similar sounds and symptoms.
  12. I put one of these in recently. The buttons have a cheep feel, and there is no illumination dimmer. I'm using it with a 4 gig usb stick, haven't tried anything else. No distortion at max volume, but it could go a little louder. Good enough.
