Rear axles busting on ea81's
Does everyone who has an EA81 that is lifted and a welded rear end break the rear axles everytime they go out and wheel. Is there anyway to fix this? Today there where a few of us that went up to walker valley and we all broke at least one axle. I'm sure if we had more time and axles we could have kept breaking them. If anyone has an Idea to fix this I'd like to know.... Jeff

Oh right on I made it to the last swithback before the clearing on the mainline trail. that's where I broke my axle at and got pulled by a 4wheeler (quad) that will really lower your self esteem quite a bit:-\ but I got back out of it and back down to the bottom. Jeff

Walker Pics
Well we went on the Walker run today, It wasn't that great. We seemed to have 3 different groups up there since some people had very little patience. So It ended up being all screwy all day. Anyways I got a coulpe of pics of mine, One of woodys, a few of Wills and a few of robs. All, ALL the gen 2's broke at least one or two or in Robs case 3 rear axles but It was still fun. hope You had fun Rob! hope you don't think we are all morons. After Walker Will, Rob and I went down to my Parents house and played in the mud down there that was pretty fun. now a few mud pics Rob didn't know that he had both rear axles broke until it was to late, this is the first time I have ever done the double pull it worked! Hope you like them..... Jeff

Well...................... I got the fuel pump off for Woody...........and I found out what the motor mount sound is.........I tore a bolt out in the Frame area in the front and all the bolts (2) in the right front lift were totally loose. I tightened them all up so I hope that helps, I'll have to get that one welded up at some point. Anyways I got the spare in the back and just need to top it off with anti-freeze and I'm good to go. Is there anything you need from Pull-a-part I'm going down in the morning. Jeff

what is this noise?
My brat makes a funny sound if I am off the gas. It sounds like a chain too but I know that it is a CV axle, It has done it before. You might check your motor mounts that is what mine is. the motor torques over and streches the axle out and kinda pulls the Axle apart, it doesn't break the axle but its putting the screws to it. Jeff

Extra cab brat anyone?
