what a great idea that is to bolt the strut to the table...lol definately beats rolling around the ground with it, trying to get ur g/f to help u hold the spring, while shes yelling "all u ever do is work on ur stupid car" the whole time -

yea dont get me wrong, the price is great and i did get the struts...but to have to deal with all the B/S again and not have a warranty after all...i should ahve gone with tirerack at the time they were only 100 bucks more from tirerack, but i decided to cheap out -
and after taking some hard corners ...it doesnt feel straight anymore after the first hard corner i took, it sort of made the steering wheel kinda tilt towards the right always then about 3 hours later i found another tight right, and now the steerin wheel is more towards the left wtf, did they not tighten the camber bolts enough? is it my fault? what do u suggest, i noticed the last time they aligned my car they changed my old camber bolts with their own which kinda looked smaller in diameter compared to the older ones any suggestions are appreciated -sean

that guy is an a**hole...i ordered 4 agx's from him, one came damaged...there was no way of getting a hold of him..i contacted some other ppl who have done business with him and they told me how he screwed them, so i decided to hit him where it hurts i wrote a letter to ebay and filed a dispute with paypal, basically did everything i could to make him look bad...he ended up sending me a new strut i have his phone number if u want it, but it never did me anygood b/c he wouldnt answer it and there was no memory left on his voicemail -sean EDIT: if i was you i would check out tirerack instead, sometimes they have good deals on the KYB's...if you buy them off of jdmwerks, kyb wont honor any kind of warranty (e-mailed them)...i highly suggest not purchasing from him -
i think its pretty cool, first time i ever seen one at the yard. BTW they're bringing in alot of new cars, many new untouched subaru's...if i had a garage i'd be collecting some EJ22's,5MT's, forester suspension and whatnot lots of older subarus too....if u live near northeastern Pa, check it out before its gone..theres still alot of the foriegn lot thats cleared and waiting for new cars

a friend of mine was at harry's the other day...and he said they're clearing out a lot of older cars and bringing in alot of new ones me and a couple of buddy's are going to head over this weekend, the one guy said there were alot of impreza's the same color as mine and i need a door... not sure how accurate this info is....but after tonights rain all the snow in the yard should be melted so u gotta get there before the cityfolks raid it

i probably wasted about 2 full tanks of gas in the past 5 days, just cruising around the area doing donuts and whatnot.....im glad we got hit with this mess, finally made the studded tires i bought worth it however, i think i need new struts now b/c of the ************ty road conditions and wicked spins i was pulling :-\

whats the difference between subaru's stepped flywheels and flat flywheels i have a 98 rs flywheel that i just got resurfaced and the guy cut the outter face (where the pressureplate mounts to) lower than the inner face (clutch disk). so that if it was laying flat the inner would stick higher in the air than the outter....... so i thought that would mean its stepped haha help me learn -sean

i've done both kartboy bushings......and i've attempted to replace the linkage part that connects to the tranny rod i believe its called the "joint boss"...i got the first inner pin out, but for the love of god could not get the larger pin out personally i thought this was a pain in the arse....and probably will just put up with my sloppy shifter than to try and wrestle with that again..my car is a 96 and is no stranger to road salt, so maybe thats why it was so difficult
-
ur mechanic is probably telling you that..because he knows that these cars dont break....and would rather have you buy something else so he still has a job.... the impreza's are great cars i have a 96 impreza L AWD 2.2l 210,000 miles....runs great besides a tranny problem that the last owner developed, and my g/f has a 93 L 1.8 165,000 also reliable however since it has a salvage title, and no service records...i wouldnt give them too much..even tho the timingbelt or pulleys could break and not leave any damage; u will still be stranded and still have to pay for towing

i tried searching but couldnt find anything..(prolly myfault) im buying a tranny, driveshaft, and diff from a 98 Rs to put into my 96 2.2 L b/c my transmission took a crap..... the guy im buying it from says..i shouldnt have any problem with fitmen, he said that my cv's would work too. so what do you guys think...any approvals or disapprovals thanks, -sean EDIT: what about clutch, mines cable this one is hydraulic...should i keep my cable..or install the hydraulic one

i bought my 2.2 with 193,000; had the check engine light on for the crank shaft sensor, and knock sensor ...only problem with those two sensors being out, is sometimes it wouldnt start without disconnecting the battery...i fixed them within the first week... im now at 210,000, the car drives and runs fine, however it now needs a new transmission i believe the owner before me liked to shift like an A-hole if i was you I'd buy it.....500 dollars for a car that runs is definately a good investment compared to those new videogames that are selling for a 1000 dollars
