  1. She went on a BIG. Diet, and is quite fun
  2. I made the rotated mount turbo setup, so all the intercooler pipes had to be handmade as well.
  3. I’ve been building this for a year now. Payoff is sweet. It is a 99 2.5rs with a complete sti swap. (2006 sti doner car) forged internals, roatated mount turbo fmic, rotated intake, 6spd, limited slip front, Full sti subframes, brembos, etc car is caged, weighs in at 2280, makes 367 at the tires on low boost tune. After break in we’re aiming for 500awhp been fun to build
  4. i miss montana! grew up in the bitterroot. welcome to the forum, i would take a burr grinder and elongate the other two holes enough to allow the strut to seat. if left like that it will deform the strut tower quickly and cause future headaches
  5. there have actually been similar swaps done. there's an ej22 powered rx7 on here, i build an eg33 powered mustang a decade ago. im currently building an sti powered miata if you're aiming for MPG- the subaru automatic will be HUGE disappointment. and will require AWD You can adapt a subaru to a toyota R series RWD trans to achieve RWD. you'll want a manual for sure wiring is simple, millions of stand alone write ups, you can make the engines run anywhere. gauges are easy as well, nissan and subaru use similar set ups in that regard. or just ditch the OEM gauges and run after market. i personally would suggest a 2.5 block with 2.2 heads, a mild cam. that will yield 165-180 NA hp. but will not be turbo friendly, search frankenmotor. they're tons of fun and cheap as dirt to build
  6. there are open recalls on these headunits. we do 3 a day minimum
  7. rust farmer- im the service employee you spoke with at downtown Nashville Subaru. we've had one tech receive training for this repair (politics of the dealership) and one left at noon today to do training. we have the tools (nothing special) it requires two days ( 11 hours of tech time) Subaru just sent these out because reported failures finally met internal criteria to trigger a recall. subarus internal requirements are much more liberal than federal standards. just call the dealer or any dealer with your vin, they will tell you if you apply. my 15 impreza does not apply
  8. ive used literally hundreds of felpro mls. love them. only had two failures. one- im at fault. ill take the blame. second- anti lag, 25 psi, etc- that was not felpros fault. ive also had great success with cometic- but be cautious of the vendor you purchase from. six states Ive used here and there at customers requests. neither good nor bad opinions of the product
  9. Thanks guys! There are no requirements to keep things factory. I’ll be putting an ej22 in a brat eventually. Thanks for the info!
  10. Kinda. That’s had a snap cap and I don’t see knock sensor plugs and a large black plug
  11. Yep, 7 360s, xt6 s, svx plural, ff1 coupes and sedans, justys, a dozen borgward Goliath, and my old legacy on 37s. Sambar van, brats everywhere. Etc
  12. Hey guys, long time no chat- im working for a Subaru collector temporarily. He has a 1-86 production rx 3 door . Someone long ago messed with the car and put wrong cap and rotor on, shaved parts with a grinder, made a fool of themselves completely. We cannot for the life of us find correct parts. The distributer has the 4foot long wire to the pass side with a round black plug, screw on cap, screw on rotor, d shaped shaft. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  13. Goliath was owned by borgward/ hansa. They were very limited production vehicles . It's rumored there is only a few dozen in the states. I've also heard a number of stories about Fuji heavy owning a few in mid sixties. I believe it after working on mine
  14. My plans are a pissed off ej20 and 5speed awd.
  15. Yes. Because there have been several on here already and I know that several other forum members own them. They also happen to be one of The Inspirations for the first Subaru boxer engine.so I guess I'm smoking logic and a sense of community. Try it
  16. I just purchased a 1957 Goliath 1100 Coupe, it was originally imported to Portland Oregon to a Goliath dealership that was in business in the fifties and early sixties. I have seen more than one person over the years mentioned Goliath on this forum and then hoping to get some information on where to locate a couple Key Parts. The pan and frame of the car are completely rotted out so it will end up being a tube frame Subaru powered go kart basically. But I would like to locate some body parts and tail lights. Please let me know if you have any information on Goliath and Hansa or where I might be able to find some parts
  17. i have a 1991 legacy manual. it has a super weird, two wire iac valve that needs to be replaced, but the plug on the harness has three wires.... my question is- how difficult would it be to take a standard iac from any other 90s legacy with three pins and install it? would the harness support it (since it has three wire)?
