if i still have a suby by then, i`ll be there for sure! -
seriously, those black performance stripes running down the hood must add like 20hp to the thing, then you got that aerodynamic roof rack witch should increase your handling by 20% at high speed driving. then theres the weight reduction of 2 lost hubcaps and the broken corner lamp. plus the hemi stickers really set it off, those must have some function, at least 20 hp, and a gas milage reduction of 10 mpg nice racer!

what he needs is 2 stacks made out of glasspacks coming out of the hood with semi truck baffles on the top:grin: that would be sick, and you would never have any more probs with rubbing....

Cherry '84 Turbo Wagon for sale
75subie replied to RedBrat's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
carfreak has done a couple ea81t 4 or 5sp swaps. actually, he swears up and down that his ea81t will hang with some of the best tuned standard ea81s, speed and reliability. -
huh, never made mine purple, but i usually don`t own cars that long. i usually don`t do it myself anymore, there is this mexican family down the road that tints windows for $20 each, so i leave the headache to them lol

who here owns a high milage 93-95 imp? i am looking at a 93 awd 5speed wagon for $300, but it has 330,000 miles:eek: i`m thinking the life expectancy is about up lol. i haven`t been able to get in touch with the people yet, but the interior is nice (all power w/ air cond) tires and exhaust are new. haven`t even seen the motor yet. do you guys think its worth it. i`m almost thinking of buying it just as an expirament to see how many miles can be squeezed out of an imp. please tell your high milage stories:D

its a pain in the a$$ believe me. your best bet is to LOAD it up with windex (the type with amonia) that way it will stay wet and you can get the air bubbles out with a squeegee. then let it dry for a long time so you don`t get any crinkles from rolling down the windows.

i don`t know about new rav4's, but i had a 2000 4wd and the road noise was terrible, i hated that thing!!! got rid of it, and bought another subaru. did i mention the rav sucked in the snow i think the new rav's are bulky and ugly also. i`ll take a subaru wrx over a rav anyday and it would run circles around it.

do a compression check and see if there is abnormaly low compression in any of the cylinders. if not, the problem could be as simple as a radiator or thermostat. it could also be more complex than that:rolleyes: it all depends on how cheap it is, if its over $500, and is likely to need a motor, i`d leave it, i hear those h6s are a real pleasure to work on;)

have fun man! post pics here too, of its progress. i`d like to see them.......

a comparable ea82 wagon that runs usually ranges from $500-800, actually, you can find them all day on WA and OR craigslists, and the majority of them are rust free! hatches are hard to find though, IdahoJak, a member on here has a real nice one for $950 tho, its from WA, you may want to contact him......

My Loyale is getting on my nerves!!!
75subie replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Connie, if you come up with a few hundred bucks, i'd be glad to help you find a cheap subie in CT or NY. maybe even 4wd:brow: running of course.
