  1. my brat sounds exactly like that right now:lol:
  2. My father is looking at buying a new impreza 5 speed 2.5i sedan. anybody here own one? how do you like it? anything that you would say is disatisfying?any info is appreciated. thanks Jon
  3. 1 brown 86 Brat 1 brown 85 Brat 1 Grey 86 Brat 1 Blue 82 Brat 1 baby blue 80 brat 1 tan 78 brat 1 black 75 wagon (my favorite to this day) 1 color shifting hatch 1 red hatch 3 white 360s and about a dozen others i didn`t own long enough to remember thier colors:lol:
  4. i wish i lived on the road going in to Harry`s:grin: only problem is that i would probly sit on my porch EVERY DAY waiting for old subes to make there way in, then "attack" mode would set in:lol: actually, it would be cool just to work there. i know Kressler charges more for his parts, but he definatly always get's the better picks, i have seen many nice soobs in his fenced in area at the hazelton yard.
  5. nice and clean interior you have there turbone:cool: i wish i could do something like that in my brat, but without them folding up, a passenger would never be comfortable. the leg area in ea81`s is a little tight for that, but xt's are definatly wider.
  6. some of these lists really are pretty impressive, i hope to make a west coast trip to a wcss show sometime:brow: i have met 8 people so far: 1.Ben-ny 2.Mr. Fishums 3.Fishmand 4.Adam 5.Junkyardgabe 6.Wagonsonly 7.a guy named Bill from Middletown NY 8.a guy named Ed from Paramus NJ (i can`t remember the last 2's board names) oh, and i met a lady named Sharon who lived in bloomsburg NY, she drives around in a brat, and says she is a member on here, never have seen her around here though.
  7. Rock On Andrew, that is very impressive:cool: i wish i had space for 30 subes:rolleyes: can you get us some pics of your collection?
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-AWD-Subaru-Justy-4DR-man-Good-engine-drivetrain_W0QQitemZ8041177423QQcategoryZ6783QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem if you find someone who needs a motor, you could split the cost of this one, and have all the parts you`d need for the conversion. the driveshaft is probly longer though. a lowered justy with 14s would be sweet too:brow:
  9. yeah, that was the only problem:lol: it looked cool, but i could only see half of the speedometer and nothing else:lol:
  10. a pocket rocket justy would be sweet. i think they have the same lug pattern as honda civics, so you can take your pick if you wanted to put some nice alloys on it. i wonder how well a justy motor would handle the turbo though, it would be cool if an ea81 would fit in there:D
  11. the one in my old hatch was also mounted on the steering column, it looked pretty overkill but it was still cool:D
  12. i wish that worked at the junkyards around here. they actually check and see what something is worth, even parts.
  13. that would shut him up if he doesn`t have a computer, but, if he does, he can just go on previous ebay auctions:-\ then the price might go up:mad:
  14. great job Ed, i`ll have to try that out too! it looks like a cup holder from a forester would also work. if i had a penny for every drink i`ve spilled in a sube i`d probly have 50 cents or something, but still:D
  15. oh yea, make sure you check the rear inner fender wells (shock mounts), rockers, frame rails, and front inner wheel wells, these always rust in those places
  16. Nathan, $500 seems very fair, to be honest, i was so desparate that i paid $1000 for a running junkyardbrat with rust:eek: but seriously, the ea81 was a pretty much bullet-proof motor, so getting it running should not be a huge problem, unless it had hg issues or maybe the tick of death. was it still fairly complete? the wheels would be easy to paint or replace. if you have the $500 to spend, it seems like a good deal, and if you decided you want out on it, i am sure you could get out of it without loosing a penny. pics would definatly help:brow: Jon
  17. nice score:D what are your plans for it:grin: ?

    79 1600 lift?

    i believe mudrat79 still makes ea71 gen 1 lifts
  19. here are the pics of Andrew`s 75 http://www.geocities.com/idahojack03/Jack_Subaru.html
  20. Subie94, you should definatly go for that if you have the space/money. i was looking at one and the guy ended up junking it on me:mad: i kick myself for not buying it. they are pretty neat beat around cars, believe it or not, they have decent resale value too. i found a parts car with all the 4wd parts you might need.
  21. the Brat and the lights look great Skip! i will have to do some looking around, but i did find a site that sold ea81 bug deflectors, designed for that hood.
