i don`t think there is a "big" demand for these old subes.that would be the only way to run up the prices.personally, i would like to keep the prices low instead of running them up.get it if you want it, but i wouldn`t go crazy on its price.

i think $1500 us would have been a good number for that red one.he might have been shooting to the stars with it though:-\

thats the way to go.make yourself a few bucks

if its ea82, just slap a turbo on it:brow: its not that easy, but probly easier than a complete swap, and it will increase your power. if not that, how about an ej25t:grin:

do weber carbs make a big improvement on ea81s?is it worth the money?would i need an adapter, or does it come with the right one from weber?i have never used one, but i am considering it for the brat.in what areas is there a power increase? -Jon

moving a wagon stuck in 4th gear

strap towin is pretty easy when you get the hang of it.just always keep tension on the rope so it doesn`t hit.have the rear driver do most of or all of the braking.then when stopped, have the front guy inch up until go. or....you probly could make it home in 4th stopping as little as possible.you could just have someone else take the brat to give you a little push at stop lights. Good Luck! -Jon -

grind /cut out the rusted areas with a dremmel.prime it.pop rivet light bendable sheet metal in there.then por-15 it front and back,it will never rust again.the spot that goes above the bumper, sand it to bare metal.put a drop of body putty w/hardner.smooth it out and sand it to the shape of the car.tape off around this area.then prime it with white primer, then paint it with krylon glossy white.it will hardly be noticed in such a tight spot. -Jon

i don`t believe subaru`s have any stainless.if the rust is sanded or cut out and primered and the fiberglass is applied correctly, it will hold up well.bondo usually starts cracking after a couple years.its worth taking your time on body work.it can always be sanded down and fixed again if you do mess up.there is alot of body shops out there who will do work cheap also. alot of them have like no overhead, so the money is mostly profit.

that looks like a brat t top roof cutout and welded into a hatch.neat idea
-
sorry for the hijack, but Miles, please check the last pm from me WJM:take a pic of the rust when you have a chance & post it. Jon
-
depends if you want to do it cheap, or the right way.if it is under the bumper, i would just sand the rust of with an orbital sander, then primer, than undercoat it.it would never spread any further.you could also sand, bondo, sand, primer, paint.or you can cut out the rust and put a new panel in with pop rivets, then smooth it out with fiberglass.if there is a certain method you want, i can explain it in further detail.maaco would do it cheap. -Jon
