  1. Worked on getting the front diff cross-member done up today. As you can see this one is desiged to be bolted in for easy removal in the event that the transmission needs to come out. Ive had this fresh in my mind since I do still have to remove the tranny to find out why it's makeing horrible noises. Here it is bolted in place. It also serves double duty as support for the lower control arm drop mounts. Still plenty of clearance from the trans, with only a 6 inch lift.
  2. Good answer on both accounts. I figure if your that worried about body damage you should just build a buggy, and the added weight is also a negative reason plus I personally would rather be able to modify the body so to speak if I have to get out of a situation where an exo-cage would not make that possible.
  3. I'd say it's still pretty straight........considering. I gotta ask thoe. What's your take on exo-cages and why are you against them?
  4. Yes very motivational, and yes easy rolling Stubs. Lol. Well it is late and a picture speaks a thousand words, so here are a few more crappy pictures. So obviously not finished yet, but a heck of alot closer now, and you can get an idea of where it'd headed. Ok, not quite level yet. I still need to make the new front struts and control arms to use the SVX spindals and then do some body clearing for the 35,s.
  5. So I decided that this weekend looked good to try and get the front of this beast lifted. Here is the new tranny mount mostly finished to replace that rediculous Subaru one. Tonight I started on the new front lift design. I found more of the channel stock I used for the rear lift and figured I'd work with that. So here is a few of the new motor mount set up. More good stuff to come this weekend, and with any luck she will be sitting level by Sunday.
  6. That it is. It's the WRX Subaru should have sent to the states in 02.
  7. Stupid question I know, but have you changed the fuel filters? Both of them?
  8. Man you should have got that on video! Im trying to figure out exactly where you were headed and how you ended up there. Glad there were no casualties or crushed fingers!
  9. Holy tubes!!! The underside looks great, but how does the top side look now? Lol.
  10. Was that a motivational post? Lol. I actually built a cool tranny mount setup for it about a week ago, I just didn't get a chance to get a pic and I haven't got to work on it since. I've been busy helping my friend get his STi swap done in his WRX RS. But that's a whole other story for another time. Getting back to my project this week.
  11. I don't know. It's a little late for it now as the t-case mounts are part of the body of the car now. That and ive grown rather fond of the sammie divorced t-case, with it's high range reduction and small size and weight.
  12. Rb,s are a bit long, but so much easier to work on than a VG. Here you can kinda see where I put my filter in after the pump.
  13. Eh! Idk about the VG, I would go RB before a VG. But I figure the SR,s are cheap, lighter weight, and be and easy fit. Have you put one of those micro filters inline to the carb yet? I put one of those cheap Mr.gasket ones on mine and I didn't have to take the carb apart after everytime I put gas I'm the tank anymore. The stock filters just don't seem to cut it.
  14. Very nicely executed! That could be one of the cleanest chop jobs I've ever seen! What you plan to do with the insides of the quarter panels?
  15. Oh yeah, I almost forgot I was working on a lifted Subaru. Dragged this thing outta the weeds tonight and got at it again. I'm at a point where this is my new priority so hopefully we will be seeing some serious progress in a timely manner. Tonight I worked on setting up the t-case e-brake and getting some driveshafts in it so I can figure out all my clearances and start getting a floor back in it befor any creatures try to move in. The temporary main shaft in place. A few of the rear shaft and e-brake set up. Thats all I got for tonight. Stay tuned.
  16. Time for an SR20 swap! Such an awesome car, I hope you get em both up and running without much trouble.
  17. Wow! It's beautiful! And I want it! Well done sir!
  18. Yo essay! Ya gotta toss a rotary in that thing yo! What's going on at njmp?
  19. As much as I love goons, I've grown quite attached to my little orange sedan.
