pulled the fenders im glad i did ther was a lot of leavs and dirt in the lower corners. im gonna be pulling the engine harness as the body harness is in the same loom i need to seperate them i will take some pics of that too so anyone els doing this can see.

i think when he said up side down he ment becuse the t stat housing is under the car? or he isnt using an oem one eather way i agree easy as pie

im doing just that im gonna rewire my blinkers to the marker lights up top better visualy than being stuck up under the bumper i think. and i dont plan on rally racing with this its purely a road car it wont even have low range. i just hate not being able to see the road on those foggy mornings oh they have running stone guards too. thanks for the input guys

scary i drove an impreza (1.8mpfi) to california from here (ellensburg wa) with a light knock out of all things the tranny went a month after the trip.

got my fog lights mounted i used the idea to put them where the blinkers where like this but i have a strange attraction to large round lights rally style. i used a small peice of aluminum plate on the backside of the bumper then the lights came wiht there own spacers so i dont have to worrie about them pulling through what do you think be honest.

damn i wouldent feel like doing much eather after a day like that. makes you think twice about some people i always tell my buddy when im riding with him that its not his driving im woried about its the other yahoos on the road im glad everything went ok and no one was hurt. im really likeing the swap all the picks are really gonna help when i get my engine ready to drop in my coupe

ok so i have been looking at the wireing diagrams for the coupe they are here this is the engine harness with the ECU and it looks like it just has the engine gobble no lights or anything. and here is the bod wireing shows lights and the horn and seatbelts ect. and to what i can see nothing conecting it to the engines ECU so can anyone tell me for shure the car dosent havea tach its a DL the only thing i can think of that might run to the dash from the ECU is the temp guage and i think oil light as its a dl it only has the speedo (analog) the temp and fule then the idiot lights so thats about what i know as far as the ea82 spfi removal gose i will start tomorow but still help is glady accepted thanks Rob

tags are expired been about 2 years plus the tires dont look road worthy tons of cracks. i have gotten better cars for free.

just spotted it when i was goin through an old trailer park and stopped to ask about it but the owners were not home so i snapped a couple when i get a chance to talk to them i will post further i wont have the money to buy it unless its free but i would love to see someone on here get it. mag wheels and 4x4 straight and only a small bit of surface rust by the headlight bucket looks like the paint chipped.

lol i know oh to well about doing that when i pull the spfi harness im gonna strip the loom from it and figur out what is what. but if any one has any info on this i would still like them to speak up thanks all the same mellow.

im puting the ej into an 88 coupe the car is spfi right now dose the cpu run the lights aswell ? just want to know so i can pull the spfi harness and not mess up the headlights and such. any help would be great thanks Rob.

if its anything like an ea82 turbo you can swap all the turbo stuff with your NA stuff and it should work fine it did on my ea82 i did have to swap the heads from my na motor as the turbo heads are duel port intake and the na is single port intake
