  1. HOLY CRAPOLY... your going to pay $100 to get the tiny turbo extrude honed???? your a serious Subiman
  2. HOLY CRAP, we didnt ask for your life story Just kidding, anyways about painting it hot pink....... and how long do you really think that the ducktape will last for?
  3. You just need to keep them Clean (baking soda and water) and keep them full to the tabs on the inside of the cells with pure water, And keep them charged properly... if you take care of it, and it wasnt a bad bat to begin with, It should last its warrented time, mabey a little more.
  4. On a different note... At my Voc tech school (EVIT) someone in the staff owns an orange transporter, there fairly rare arnt they?
  5. WAKE UP... AND GIVE US AN UPDATE, and post a dang picture already, I am sending you my digital right now
  6. AGM is basically what Optimas are, there acid/water solution has been gellified, and sealed so it will not leak.
  7. You cant fit it back in?? Give us MORE Details and PICTURES (for detailed help) or else YOU GET NO HELPY!!!
  8. speaking of the waterpump, I have learned unfortunatly, that If you do get the shorter shaft, if you use 4 nuts underneath the pulley, it spaces it perfectly as if it was the longer shaft one... I got the wrong one, parts store closed, and I was impatient, WOO HOO, its been running nice and cool for almost a year now BUT I would always recommend getting the correct parts!
  9. I know that In down here in Az most Wet cell batteries dont handle the heat well, they generally last about 3 years, 5 if your extreemly lucky.
  10. Amperage is what makes things hot, Not voltage.... But the saftey concern is appropriate.
  11. thats right, I like being original like my bro in laws RS, his heads are compleatly original, made up by him.
  12. Because some of us dont feel like swapping an engine unless we absolutly have to, and because we all want to have a blown engine underneath our belt  Also Pistons and rods are the weak link if detonation occurs, which it always does in a turbocharged engine, so.. But I agree that the headgaskets on our series engine arnt the best of holders
  13. This is interesering, BUMP, I have the TC and I honestly found that it is accurate, within say 20 miles, Although when the batt has been disconnected it sure does take a long time to re adjust it self.
  14. Once again its time to use our friend Brake cleaner, spray your engine while it is running on anything that sucks vaccum in, or has vaccum running through it, if your engine revs slightly then you have found a leak (of most likely many)
  15. your 6 can rev to 7 without pegging the limiter??? or do you not have one???
  16. Just start turning the knobs youll get a change, Im just not sure that it will be a good one
  17. my powerplants purpose is to make me go ZoOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm!
  18. ehhh, More power??? I am planning on pushing my car up to around 15psi, but After that I am going to start thinking about either an EJswap or just finding a set of forged pistons for my car, if I can get forged pistons then I might push it to 18-22 Psi Depending on how much I love my engine I bet that if you remade your spider intake on your car to have nice smooth bends and get Nice runners made for it, you could easily boost the power up by like 10hp, not to menchin some more torque, and it would be easier for the boost you shove to get in there too! our EA-82 spiderintakes stink, but What can you expect for a 20yearold car!
  19. Yeah I guess Your right about the cornering, Thinking about it Baffles Dont do that well when your pulling a .95g turn.
  20. Drysump isnt used because of cornering, thats what Baffles are for (now for airplanes yah becuase if you are doing a Hi-G decent then the oil is above the pickup screen) Drysump supplies constant and cool oil, which is not essential but it is a good idea for very high reving engines and or engines that produce high heat....
  21. I would choose the TD04L because back when my car ran perfect, Russ said "it spools just as fast as the stock turbo" and if thats true then It pulls way harder than the stock. that was back when it was running well, EA-82s dont push too much exhaust gas, and the turbos header design is TERRIBLE to say the least. I bet that if you built a custom header, ran the LH pipe into a 2way collector where it joins with the RH and it was fairly smooth, it could push that TD05 it might be slow in first but I think lag is fun in FAST cars.
  22. FLATFOOTSHIFTING FTW (BLOWN CENTER DIFF FTL)
  23. It does sound like a fuel problem, I remember last year at my vocational tech school (EVIT) my instructor had a guy come in with a GMC Sierra and he said that when He comes back to it after it has sit for like 15 mins or something, that it takes just a little bit longer for it to start, my instuctor said it was the checkvalve on the regulator and he was right, Im not familier with the 1.8s but this toatally sounds like fuel pressure is bleeding...
