  1. my dads taco uses the 3.4 v6, man we put a k'n fipk2 on it, that thing is so stinking mean sounding its rediculous....
  2. I love flying, I wana make my own now.
  3. I resent that, which V6 are you talking about the 5vz-fe? I HOPE NOT! I still dont know why people arnt over the war yet, I understand that pearl harbor was super un cool, they sunk my states ship for goodness sakes , but we kissed and made up since then so, tell your dad to give you the money (haha) and go buy a whatever car you want. the dodge is a good truck, although I have heard otherwise with their diesels, the toyota is un defeatable though, you can not kill it.
  4. no, use solid WRC style mounts, Sti mounts are too weak for you TRUST ME (I want your car to shake when you rev it)
  5. ace or whatever your local "Small" hardware store should have these, and if they dont, I bet they can order them for you, if they dont have them then ask for a big book that they have of fastiners. Home depot or lowes has the poorest sections of fastiners i have ever seen when it comes to metric, sometimes I wished I lived in germany or somewhere in the world where they use metric. But no one uses metric everyone uses standard right NOT ok im done whining about my fastiner woes, you could go to subaru, but youl probabbly pay at least 3 bucks (most likely more) for this thing.
  6. i didnt realize 1600s were offered in gls past 82... shows how much i know
  7. I have a PerformanceRadiator 2 row in mine, although I do have to bend the sheet metal to get it out, it works great, Search performanceradiator in google or something.
  8. well, um.... hmm. You may have a problem that I cannot solve. Im only a Mechanical person, not psych.
  9. Some would say that sound adds rear wheel horse power
  10. Metal is not an issue if theres some flakes, bear in mind, these things are designed to wear out slowly, very very slowly, so metal in the oils not a huge concearn, however if you got a disco ball show coming out of your diff, meaning, if you drainit and you start to boogie down, youve got issues, after not draining a diff for a long time, it will be close to that but, you should be able to discearn if theres issues from the metal. If I made any sence what so ever :-\ .
  11. Mine has VHT flat black on them, I have to touch these things up so much, I am seriously considering powedercoating them to semigloss black (thats only if blueroo at least tries to give me stock hp back thats all I ask)
  12. I bought a disty cap and rotor from BAP import auto parts (the bestest in the westust for my subaru, oem or better!) my cap was regular poopy metal, but my rotor, although it doesnt have the little keyway to line it up, so I used the screw to line it up, was brass, how sweet is that? and it only causted me$8.00 (that sounds pricy for a rotor when you look at 8 dollar bills and then look and that little rotor is it pricy or what you guys pay) oh and my car doesnt missfire (as much )
  13. NO STOP LEAK, its good (never good IMO) in a pinch if your 5billion miles away from the nearest star base but if youve got the tools and the time then fixit right, also, my dads a plumber (and the best one in arizona, probably the entire world ) so I was taught how to solder, but solder it up if it does turn out to be the core, ok ok, now I will go read the rest of this thread.
  14. WOW! I have never read that much in my life at first it made me not want an xt6, but the simplicity of what happond now makes me want one. except, so remember way back when, you were driving and the rpms climbed to the moon ? what caused that? if a timing belt breaks (which it didnt because, here goes my EVIT auto tech training, timing belts gennerally do not break under normal running conditions, they will usually break under start up because of the extra stress on the engine.) ahem, thank you for hearing me out, so was this just a subie cowinkydink? like Something went south right when somehting else went south??? (this happons to Blueroo every time I pay money to get nice new parts for her)
  15. what are you talking about retuning? are you running aftermarket management? if your not, these things will tune everything themselves.
  16. You would not have to do any more tuning as far as I can tell, But I have to be honest and say that I have seen many many turbocharged cars, and this is the onlyone with this setup.
  17. ABSOLUTLY DO NOT let a dealer take advantage of you like that, DO NOT EVER let them charge you list price, there just testing you, If i get charged list price on something I take it back and go somewhere else (along with a few comments to make them feel bad)!!!
  18. Thats interestering, I wonder why one is different than the other...
  19. Oh my goodness, This thing should be a sticky or something, maybe in the USRM? this thing is great, it is answering all of my questions! Except one. How do I get free money? thanks alot Numb, oh and who made this, did you? im only on page 6 right now!!!
  20. You have the digidash right? Me too, mine used to jump up hugely when I would turn my AC on, (yeah yeah I know its the ac not the heat) but right when I turned it off, about 3 seconds later, it would drop back down about 3-4 notches, so clearly it wasnt true that my coolant would heat up instantly and then cool off instantly. the digis are known to be sketchy when it comes to accuracy of the sensors.
  21. yeah merk knew that Im sure about it... Anyways, we got that car to his house (my car is finally faster than another car ) and we are working on getting it streetable, theres this wierd vibration that gets real real loud the faster thay you go, any ideas??? Oh and we did front brakes on the thing, and now it feels like it has air in the system, which there is a huge ammount of threads on here that have the same problem with the brakes that we are, so... any ideas on that too, we know how to bleed brakes, and are working on finding a way to pressure (not vacuum) bleed them because if that doesnt get the air out, I dont think anything will, bear in mind we did drain all the fluid out but we didnt pump it while it was out, the master has lotsa bubbles coming out in the resivour, and they never seem to stop, I had this same problem on my car and still kinda do.... anyways, thats my life story that I just wrote, and if you read all of that then, you have a lot of patience!!!
  22. I doubt it, Although Possibly mounting differently, You say you have the right one? so take of the left wheel and take a look, there not hard to replace. and worse case scenario, you have to buy the other one! and not to say your ignorant or anything but, are you sure its the sensor or is it something else??? Whats the situation with your car??
  23. Wow, people having problems with their borlas eh? Merkatroid has a borla on his RS and he hasnt had problems as of yet. I wonder what the deal is on those, they must have had a bad set and a good set or something like that! And yeah Equal lengths are nice for turbocharged cars when it comes to power but.... They will make the subaru sound like any other 4 cylinder out there!!! this is becoming a good thread! Im interested to see what others have done to their exhaust on the ej's! And Merkatroid (my bro in law) also has a Scoobie sport muffler on his car (You guys hopefully have heard of the great scoobie sport products if not, well then, time to learn how rad they are ) The reason I bring this up is because I belive (not exactly sure on the sizes) it goes from 3 to 2.75 and then to something else.. I just know it shrinks a little bit to help with back pressure (this scoobie sport muffler sounds great, I really really want it on my little car) anyways hope it helps!!! EDIT: I adjusted the size, it has a 3 in exhaust not 3.5
  24. trans, Diffs, Wheels, Engine, fuel Pump, all the wires, the blower fan resistors (those are bad i bet though) and everything else on the car that remotely works!!!!!!!!!!!
