That stuff would be better than gutting my entire nearly perfect gl-10s interior.
-
That stuff expands so fast. I dont really wana trust it in my unibody.
-
I imagine its going to be a bit stronger than sheet metal :-p Just kidding

All right! now were cooking with seafoam. So im gonna see if my machining buddy, wants to make me these parts...
-
So theoretically, if i could spell... There are much more simpler ways of stiffening up my chassis without seamwelding. Roxy could wear a helmet if I got a roll cage. It would be nice to have my very own RST stomper.

well t67 turdbos are for chumps, and so are imprezas  and you better give me a hand since its my throttle position sensor you will be using. On another note, the wrc cars used reinforcing plates? please do tell

People are really dumb, diesel is cheaper to refine than gasoline, and when gasoline drops diesel seems to stay, but when gas prices rise, diesel decides to rise too, it costs over 160 bucks to fill my dads npr, ONCE A WEEK MINIMUM. cmon guys, lets build a diesel refinery empire and sell our fuels for 99 cents a gallon, we would make so much more money than them once we got our locations set!

Ok so I was rotating my tires today, in my driveway, no time to do it at evit and after getting the right rear side tire off the ground, about 2.5 3 inches, I placed it on stands and went to the front, when I got the front up to the same height, I put a stand under it, and look at the rear... It was back on the ground.... So I said to my self "Self, this cars chassis is not very stiff at all, I wonder if any of the guys (and girls ) on usmb have seamwelded/fully caged one of these cars, so after searching a bit, I found only a handful of seamwelding posts, so it appears that not many of you plan on having these cars as your weekend racer ... but I was wondering if any of you have expierimented with seamwelding, either on these or on any car, and what were the results, if your really cool youll give me the weight added from the welding. The reason I am asking this is, before too long I should (hopefully) graduate highschool and have a full time job at either a dealership or mcdonalds or whoever gives me the best deal... anyways, I will be slowly fixing up my -10 to try and get it AutoX worthy. yes i know i can autocross it as is, but Im in it to actually not be last, maybe even top 5 . I will eventually have a car that will handle, and it will do so because I made the modifications to it. so wow After realizing I am writing a novel, Im out, tell me what you guys know about it.

Unplug the primary to the coil, not the secondary. Coils dont like to have power and no where for it to go. Glad your ok, ive done some stuff like that too..... -
In the winter I like to run Mobile 1 sythetic 0w-40 or 5w-30, in the summer here I used to run 10w-30, but now I am going to go to 15w-40 in the summer, it gets hot here. As far as cost goes, for a decent oil filter from the parts store cost me about 7-10 bucks, and for the oil, walmart sells the big jugs for about 22 bucks. Remember GOOD OIL is cheap, engines are not. as for conventional castrol is my favorite, i run it in my lawnmower

if he lowered the compression a bit, he should be able to achieve at least 165, I hope! plush a NA car is generally more reliable than a turbo car (I.E. no hoses to pop off and yes no matter what the brand, THEY DO POP OFF!!!!) Its your car man, you make the choice, and remember you can always pop in the Turdbo later, it will be louder with out the turbo, both the intake and exhaust and you should have the torque you need. If your gonna trail run it, I would suggest putting in the standard ej25 flywheel, they are heavyer than the standard sti right? More weight=More momentum for the engine which inturn equals, better crawling! I COMMAND YOU THIS: TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES, and learn to use the camera before posting , we dislike fuzzy pics even though we all post them, and along with the taking lots of pics, put them on the board! give us updates lots of updates. Together all of us on the board have a combined IQ of the lowest genius score so, we might be able to help you. That genius thing is pushing it though.

Tips on changing the Clutch?? '79 Brat
beataru replied to Crabman's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Well first off, pay someone else to do that Thats my tip JUST KIDDING!!!! I hope it all works out for you be gentle with that clutch for the first 500-1000 miles, it WILL benifit from a gentile break in, you want it to wear in right with the flywheel so no clutch pops or severely heating up the clutch (i.e. Slipping it up a hill) But your a subaru guy, you already knew that -
That sounds like an EJ25 to me! Ill do that to my car way way way in the future, unless it gets totalled or something horrible like that The only thing cooler than an ej257 in your roo? flying on a rocket ship to outer space... maybe

Going to pick up another Subaru tonight
beataru replied to merkatroid's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Well, I sealed the Oil pan up seamlessly and it didnt fix it... Jonathan will get mad at me if I tell you guys the specifics... he wants all the glory But my SUBARU SUPPORT VEHICLE is here to help -
Oh man, getting my car to run right after we took the disty off... Dont get me started... I would change plugs every 15 to 30 if you get the right kind (NGK is the best, even the cheapies) but for things like cap and wires, just check them. Taking the cap of the disty is safe, no worries there, just check things over and give the roo a good vehicle inspection when you do an oil change or stuff like that! and after writing another lifes story, im out! The lifters and engine internals... RUN IT TILL IT DIES!! just kidding, I dont know the specifics.

IN MY OPINION, since thats what you want, that car will be very cool, but I would possebly increase the comp ratio on that badboy a bit, at least get some thinner head gaskets if your not gonna run turdbo power!

Mothers mini ball? I havnt tried it yet but I have heard that it works decently. or you could use a dremel, but that would take FOREVER!!!! -
Allright ladies, Lets put our monies together and buy a Sherman! I liked that Vid but It would be cooler if, (there was NO STUPID MUSIC... sorry), he shot the gun to his rear inorder to power out
