check with jegs or summit or whatever and get a high flow cat or, look for some of those SPT things or STI bolt on things, these are subarus, thing bolt on to eachother. The cats do restrict flow but bear in mind car makers generally do make a desent exhaust nowadays (by nowadays I mean since around 1998 so....) and if you go custom, go stainless its always in every way better in the short and long run!

How hard is it to start? like a 5-15 seconds of cranking or like you have 5 minutes to get it to start... its carbed, carbs dont like cold weather... give us more info and we will tell you whats up.

I fixed it!!!! it was a coolant hose, and it was almost impossible to get out but I did!!!

ok, story time, last night I was driving home and I decided to free rev it to 6grand and hold it there for oh, 3 seconds, (it was missfiring because of bad cap and rotor, i replaced and wanted to be reassured that I fixed it) and then all of a sudden, poof, I felt a lost of power for a split second, and then everything went to normal, i also had the smell of coolant being boiled. So I watched my temp gauge and drove home, no problems, couldnt see anything because it was night so I went to school today, and looked under neath for a quick glance, and water was dripping. So i just got home and opened the hood, and theres coolant eveywhere on the front, and steam... and a hissing noise that is hard to identify where exactly, so im wondering if i craked a hose or something else, I did however see steam coming from behind the Powersteering pump.... Which right behind that is the intake manifold.... AHHH what did I do, Its too hot to investigate closely so I am keeping my distance. all this and for what... I even bought polish and wax for this thing and this is what it does for me right before my fall break how dare it!!!

Well, so all 5 speeds should bolt on up to the Gl right? Also the Gl is a carb... this isnt happening, the car was already bought, but, I think this is a helpful thread.

Ok I should know this but, there was this 82 or 83 wagon, not sure if it was a dl or gl or whatever, but it had a Manual in it and my bro in laws 86 GL wagon needs a new tranny.... So... he asked me because I know most of the old school, and he knows all the new school (and most of everything else about cars...) anyways, He wanted to know if it is the same transmission as our EA-82 series (is there a series for the EA-s? like the GCs or is it just EA?) I said im not sure... I believe that all 5 speed manuals would fit, and yeah of course we know depending on what style 4 wheel drive it is.... So I was just wondering what years and types of transmissions will bolt on to what, now I know these are subarus so, almost everything will bolt on but, just for future reference. GD I'm sure you would know this so help a brutha out Also Which car has the 4 speed in it? is it the Justy??? Oh yeah, the CCVT was in there, is that what it is called or did I mix them up? I know it stands for combustion chamber something or other. OH NOES!!! I found a subaru star in the book.... its called someting like "lemons" the worst cars of all time, Luckally all the author had to say was that subaru had tendancy to place moto engines in motorcycle sized cars.... lacking in power, blah blah blah blah blah.... But it wasnt too bad, if i saw a GL in there I would have burned the thing!!!
