Clutch cover I would guess is the pressure plate, becasue there is no spec on mitchell that says otherwise.

so a brighton is an impreza? that looks like an RS to me. Its got the rs spoiler except its missing the fog lights.

GD have you used spec clutches to no avail?

Clutch cover bolts.. 14-17nm Flywheel bolts.. 69-75 nm tranny to engine bolts, 46-54nm Im still looking for the others but its hard to find.

Or the flipside of it, most hondas arnt fast, just loud. Basically the higher the stage the "better" it is, I know you knew that, but in any case for any make or model, manufacturers always make different stages so basically stage 5 is really super great. But for an ea-82t Im thinking stage 2 or 3 would be adequate for my powerlevel im hoping to achieve. Anything above 200 hp at the wheels (for a long period of time) is rediculous to think of from an ea82 with stock internals. I wish they were judged with power levels they can hold instead of stage crap. Luckly, merkatroid's RS in my book of stages will be rated at a stage 19 for everything.

if they were supposed to turn it down and they didnt i would suspect that the clutch wouldnt disengage vs hold properly. Another question about those spec clutches. They seem to have 2 clutches for each stage, as much as I hate the "stage" word, so which one is for what.

I belive the solution would be an Limited slip diff on either the front or the back, or you could be way uber super cool and do both, or you could be ultimate and do all 3. 350-400 bucks for obx which is an exact copy of the quaife equals awesomeness.

You could always upgrade to a cusco center.

Well, I tore the tranny apart, found my pinion shattered. And merkatroid and I are currently figuring out what to do about it. The thought has crossed my mind about burning the car to the ground and dancing on it, but, I still kinda like it. Kinda.

hmm. I hate the ea82 but, if was brand new, No ones messed with the engine and what not, so bone stock. And if I had the money.... I would say from 1 to 2 grand. but it would have to be cherry.

Pinion Shattered due to tremendous horsepower. Can you belive it? I broke stripped the freaking pinion gear. pictures to come when i get cleaned up. My transmission is toasted. How lame. I think I have a car demon.

Its not an axle, definately not, I drained the fluid and a tooth popped out as soon as I took off the drain plug. So, I am about half way done with taking the tranny out. Im tired, and angry, the car is fighting me every step of the way. Hope to have it out tomorrow. Then ill do a tear down and see what we got. Someone send me the latest STI transmission please!!! for free. or just buy me a quaife sequential setup.

Yup, thats how mine sounds. However it didnt give any warning. Mine had plenty of mobile 1 GL-5 synthetic gear lube in it. I actually changed it about 15 thousand ago.... So something else is amiss here. Possibly old age, Definately not too much power, However I drained the fluid and as soon as I unscrewed the drain, I hear a clunk, and sure enough, a tooth from somewhere on the front diff.... Broke right off. Hopefully Ill get it pulled apart in a week or two, and then decided weather it gets a new diff, or a new tranny. Its getting pulled apart this weekend.

What have I done to my Soobie lately? Well, last night I somehow damaged something in my drivetrain. Somethings wrong in the front diff case. Sounds wonderful too. I love loud popping/clunking coming from the front case.
