With that mileage I would use 10w-30 or 10w-40. -
yeah +1 on that, Mine is doing the exact same thing, except when i hit boost, it goes super rich and boggs, Somewhere I have a metered air leak.

Hey, Quick tip to clean your o2 sensor, Proven and works, if there dirty that is. Take a propane or MAPP torch and heat up that sucker till its cherry red, then let it cool. DONE Clean o2. Oh but for you pyros, dont melt it, then it doesnt work.

A Question for the Gurus

ohhh nice that youve got a Webb, if only I didnt have MPFI...... :-\ -
Sorry if its alittle fuzzy, I couldnt get my camera to Macro it, its just too small. You know, I found some 12 volt leds at the shack, so I bet I could easily put one of those in. but oh well, I still have to get another plastic bulb holder for the other side.

Oh that is soooo badass, Its so cool to see another digidash just like mine. -
Ok i went to radio shack, I found one of those plastic casings under my dash in my car, so with 10 dollars I drove there and found these, the number is #7219. I put it in my car carefully wrapping the the 2 wires around the plastic piece, and I HAVE LIGHT!!!! But, If you can find one just a tiny bit larger, it might do some good, oh by the by, these came in a pack of 2 for 1.50. you can find it in the rear of the store in those metal slide out organizers. Let me know how it looks with 2 in, mines alittle bit dim, but its better than nothing at all... IM SO HAPPY Oh yeah, The bulbs are Type T-1 so if you find almost any T-1 12 volt bulb, and if they are 2 pin, then you should be good as long as they fit!!!

Get some brake cleaner and, with the car running spray all of the vacuum connections. this could be as simple as a vacuum leak, or it could be an exhaust leak before the o2 sensor, I have one and it runs really really rich, the exhaust sucks in air every time the exhaust valve closes so it thinks its running lean, my gas mileage is preety bad for a little wagon.

If I am understanding this correctly, you have spark but it wont fire up right? Then either your 180 off, or just a tooth. Did you match the notch on the disty with the one on the engine? oh and not to say that your stupid or anything, check your plug wires and make sure they are in the correct spots before doing the above, Ive seen it happen alot, thankfully not to me.
-
yeah thats what I mean. they do good work, so long as they do what you wanted, My Brotherinlaws Turbo came back with the cheapy chrome looking coating, definately not the high dollar one! but they took it back for free and did it right.

oh it matters, He is going to have a way faster RS than my GL-10 (but I dont let that get to me) and there has to be competition or else this wonderful thread wouldnt be on here with such a great host like me. Oh, It doesnt really matter if its a subaru, anything with some real mileage is welcome, so long as its not a mitsu :Flame: DONT BE SHY PEOPLE!!! -
Dang, did that really only take 5 mins to freshen up? oh and try some B12 chemtool, that stuff is amazing.

The TPS is the "throttle position sensor" I now am drawing a blank on where it is... I would definately check the IAC and clean it! Ive read many of problems that sound like this because of a bad or dirty tps, If you have a chance pick up a can of Maf cleaner and help clean up your MAF a bit.

yeah, I took my TC out and stupidly took out both of the bulbs, of course I THOUGHT I put them in a safe place, but as soon as I drove the car, they were gone, somewhere in my roo but nowhere to be found. I heard from Russ that and northwet that the stock bulbs should be at radioshack, I havnt been able to get myself over to one to confirm this, if you find them, or an easy way to fix these with something else, please dont keep the part number or names from me!!

I have the entire downpipe from the wrx, on my rig.

I saw that my bro in law is bumping his own thread, so here goes an effort to raise an already dead thread... -
Dont get me wrong, im not trying to tell you how to build your car, i hate people that do that, but why would your head be the weak link? Are you planning on some high revving? or are you talking about the poor port design on those heads? And what pressure are you planning to be running?
