I know what the 928 is (its was to replace the 911.. it didnt work) the reason i want them is because they were ment to stop a hugely gigantic car... not for the name along the side. i mean think about it... I would have to get ABS to keep from locking them up when i stop at a streetlight... thats power babey!
-
hahaahaahahahaa... thats mean... i think its normal for a poorly adjusted carb to bogg when you floor it.. its because of the secondary(onlyone!) that dumps a serious amount of fuel all of the sudden into the engine! kinda like smothering than feeding for a split second... or is this more lengthy?
-
yeah but any old roo can get up to speed if your drafting behind a runaway semi! well... im going to increase the poweroutput of my roo sooner or later.. im more worried about fading resistance like in a big autocross run! where i would go around morethan onces in less than 5 mins!!! in a perfect world (sigh) but... i am going to build up a nicelt forged H-6 or put in an EJ25 and build that up..cant decide... Ej25 can pumpout the power but... who has an H-6 withover 400 horses that (with all the money in the world) revs to 8000 at least!!!

The bloody DOL is retarded
beataru replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yeah its retarded how anal they are... my bro used to live there... i wana go into one of those places with a rear foglight on... just so i can record them saying that its not legal... "oh whats that on there??? that right DOT.. i guess it legal!" -
Check the choke.. makesure its opeating.. also check and see that the secondary(hehe only one) and or primary is seating properly while its idleing and a mostlikelyhood scenario is that theres a vaccum leak somwhere or a vaccum like is put on the wrong thing! trust me.. those carbs have way tomany vaccum lines running EVERYWARE!

yeah.... i once stuck a hanger in a walmounted heaters fan(220 voltcircut) i COULD HAVE DIED... but it was preety and red afterwards and smelt funny.... so ive learned my lesson about breaking things.. i think

Using Diesel to increase octane ratings...
beataru replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ive fueled aircraft for a "school intership" from small aviation up to kingairs 350's (which take jetfuel (JET A) which is a higher cetane number than diesel... still smells terrible... untill you burn it:grin: yummy) and i learned somthing there--- diesel will freeze if in cold climates even at the runway so.. inorder to keep that from happening they make JET-B Which is Blue-100low-lead mixed with about 80% jet fuel. soo the question is.... do you wana tryit because it will work Viceaversa? My personal opinion is that it will work, but, your fuel filter is going to be hurting badly because diesel has extreemly large particulate matter (well microns but still!) compared to gasoline-also diesel has the chance to get bad bacteria that gumup your diesels performance-- """so for all of you diesel runners out there.. if your diesel smell like someone took a crap in the fueltank tell the gas station you want your money back!""" so after my huge sharade which probably was meaningless- It will work in small quantitys.. dont do half and half or even 60-40 or even... you know what i mean.. a tiny bit also... the diesel nozzle wont fit in your fuelhole, its bigger,(probably already knewthat) so bring something to wipe the side of your car down because it gets everyware! wow i got real carried away hehe -
Yeah no kidding.. Be thankful that its a non interference!! bigger problems avoided
-
im open for modding.. unless that also means destroying a perfectly good piece of subie :-\
-
allright thx russ... the parts were not in 1st subarus inventory but they should get them tomarrow and then shipem out to mee.... :-\ i was hoping id get the roo back on the road this weekend... ohwell
-
Ive heard that poly bushings arnt always noted as a performance part.. just a cheap replacement
-
yes i bet... drums are so complicated looking for how much they suck!... the Gl-10 already has 4wheel disc brakes.. so im talking about crossdrilled rotors or somthing... just exploring the posibilities... and yes; i know i sound like a stupid ricer teenager when i say that word! 928 GTS (u soobie nuts need to get out more its a Porsche you know... those funny little cars with the engine in the back brakes would be sweet but... those definatly wouldnt fit in my wheels hehe.
-
That would be nice.... Camper would be totaly awasome especially if you mounted a swampcooler on the window! I love making rich people have puzzled looks!
-
Good luck... i sure hope mines okay... ill find out soon... :-\

well HID's also use way lower voltage sooo i am interested in those sylvania bulbs.. do you know how much voltage they are?
-
Except if you want to see all of the other 4wd slipping backwards down the hill
-
Ahaaaaa i never thought of that duh! that would make a lot of sence
-
Why would poly bushings be more expensive... if anything they should be cheaper.. your putting plastic where rubber should go!

GL-10 Blower Switch 1 not working
beataru replied to beataru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
So if im understanding this right... The blower is supplied a continuous amount of power--- the switch just lowers the power according to the fan speed...right? :-\ -
My Gl-10 needs or well i want performance stopping power does anyone know of any mods that i can make (i have good friends with CNC machines) or pads or even this...... Can i fit 25rs brakes (which are on most every subie) or even STI brakes i have 15'' pugs on my car and im not geting lowersize rims ever... ill always stay with atleast 15's so back to my question... do i really need to upgrade to a 5 lug or would the calipers bolt in realitively easily? or am i beating a dead horse like my friend over here--->
-
yeah thats what im wonderin because they almost always come with there fancy ignition hardware to ignight the gas in the bulbs and this intern comes with like 50miles of wire!
