  1. motorcycle and cars are generally seperate distiributions, and you have to contact the motorcycle side and not the cars. any older bikes parts are almost non existant. i had a 78 honda cb350 and i have a 1972 yamaha dt125, and parts are almost non existent. which is why the yamaha is still in pieces after a blown piston.
  2. hopefully soon enough... 4 link won't be till winter at least. all i need is the dom tubing for the link arms and some material for brackets, i have just about everything else. starting wednesday i'll be junkyard hoping for the roo parts and turning wrenches on the truck for 2 weeks or till i run out of parts that i can install... more than likely a no go on reiter on the 29th... i still have to get the brake parts for the car first, then swap trannies (i have the tranny)... which i'll be looking for the brake stuff at all the northern PAP's this week... i'll challenge you to the "outlet mall" when i get linked! lol... yeah right... i ain't touching that trail with a 10 foot pole... there's a reason it's a "buggy" trail...
  3. a daily driver, and eventually a wheeler... lj's and older were the 2 strokers, sami's circa 1986 and later were never powered by 2 strokes in the USA...
  4. dealer parts aren't a problem here. i avoid the dealers at all cost anyhow... this carb setup was from http://www.petroworks.com. there's a huge aftermarket for parts, engines, lifts, intakes, lockers and just about everything down here in the states... it'll be more expensive to ship to canada, but you can get everything needed from the aftermarket down here. the only thing i'll be getting from a dealer is a new door and ignition lock set and a rear door strut... aftermarket, aftermarket, aftermarket... keep your useless hate away from my post! i like the little zuki's for one, 2nd there's nothing about a problem with the damn car... start your own flame about suzuki in the off topic or nonsubaru area.... you pay to get what you want. that intake was 625 plus a 75 dollar core charge on the intake manifold. stock carbs are 400 bucks. you pay to play, not to cry... and WTF! it's a damn lawn mower your complaining about... sami's aren't 2 strokes... the LJ's are... WTF...

looks like it was fun. definately muddy and slick out there. my bald tires wouldn't of liked that.
  6. no, i'm not doing an engine change... the stock carb was beyond repair... choke was dead, a spring missing on the side, etc, etc... and ran like utter ************ with massive hesitation in throttle response. not just cause it's a 1.3L but it would sputter and tell me to screw off... so the solution was simple, order a petroworks cv carb kit. 44mm screaming eagle carb, with a true side draft into head. this is not presently my wheeler, but my daily driver for now. next is the exhaust in april. i have a doug thorley header and 2" turbo muffler. along with replacing the timing cover and cam seal... before and as the project went... before air filter and crap removed... intake taked on... fully installed and ready to rock... i've only driven it today and yesterday. unlike before, it now only requires one pump on the go pedal, pull choke, turn key and it starts!!! no more cold starts without a choke... i do need to look into posible a minor adjustment on the air/fuel mixture screw. one or two little pops when it first starts up if i give it the go pedal. as soon as it is warmed up or partially warmed up though... it goes, not like a V8 more like a pissed off mouse! they aren't joking that it will rev faster and gain power. i can maintain the speed limit on hwy 16's hills, i used to be 5 to ten under on the hill by burnham rd. now i'm just about the speed limit. 5th gear is now a useful gear. i can maintain or accelerate in 5th gear on slight inclines, or stay in 5th on hills i used to have to down shift. :cheer: :cheer: haven't driven enough to get gas mileage figures yet... but it can't be worse than 16 to 18 that my messed up carb was getting... when i got it 6 months ago i was averaging 25 to 28mpg... can't wait for the exhaust to be installed... also on the list is the shifter and tcase sheets... the tcase shifter sheet is disenigrated and i can't use 4lo, unless i want to get the tcase stuck in neutral...
  7. there's no weight in the rear, like a bed and the steering is disconnected... so it wanted to to steer and drive away... i'll get some real shots in the next couple months... a hydraulic car jack only lift stuff so high... wait till i get the rear 4 link and quarter elliptic installed!
  8. .... fixed it for you....
  9. you had to of had a sway bar attached...
  10. pick a line, draw a line or wing it... zzz zzz draw a line which vehicle are you cutting up the fenders? ea81 or ea82? just enough to clear the tires or to clearance the path in front of the tire. there's a lot of over hanging in front of the tire that you do not need if your out wheeling. used to have pics on my site, but forgot to pay the bill and lost the site.
  11. well a small update. after a long battle with the Department of Defense and the Veteran's Administration to get my payments for college straight... it's back to work on the truck. finals week for college is next week, then i'm headed to marysville for a week and a half vacation to install the steering, the gears, lockers, cut the fenders, and install all the other odds and ends that i have laying around. today i ordered the ifs steering box mount kit from trail gear and the billet flat pitman arm with an fj80 tie rod from sky-mfg to compliment my sky billet steering kit. so with some luck next week i might have a progress update! now that my pay is fixed i can start dumping all my extra cash flow back into the truck! and then to sell the car... this weekend i'm installing the new petroworks cv intake kit into the zuk.
  12. i like to go fast, i just attempt to limit myself to fast vehicles offroad... that way i don't get tickets. i.e. my atv and why i sold my cruiser... soon to be a dirtbike instead of an atv as soon as i get the title for the atv... the next project after the toyota is done, is a ford ranger setup as a class 7 SCORE race truck. i want to attempt to race the 1000 before i turn 35... and something to go hauling in the dunes with. in 3 years i'll be really tight on cash till i graduate... so at that point most things will be put on hold.
  13. what's with that atv winch...... the cars weigh around 3k pounds, not to mention your supposed to use a winch that is twice the gvw for safety... especially after lift and tires you'll weigh even more. other than that it's looking good!
  14. i didn't say you were mudding in peoples lawns. but it is actually a federal law to be an x number of feet from alongside railroad tracks, let alone wheeling on their banks. if i remember correctly it's about 15 feet. not to mention it's trespassing and you can be arrested for driving up stairs at a place that you have no permission to be wheeling. you really should look into the legality of things before you do them, or post about them. you seem to have a problem discriminating between what's legal and what's not legal, not to mention your lack of caring. being careless about your actions can actually hurts the sport by giving a negative image to the general public. while the rest of us fight to keep or trails open.
  15. it means, that the majority of roads off of the main forest road (76) after the fire station is a snow park. after a certain point, wheeled vehicles are not allowed and that is all that it means.
  16. depends where you head out towards green water, stay off the groomed trails in the national forest. or your stuck with reiter or tahuya...
  17. good luck with evans creek... have you seen the conditions??? it snowed a lot this year. here is some pics from fordzuki's trip last weekend. mind you this is the easiest rated trail at evans creek...... the flat section of 102 out of the parking lot... 2 stuck... it's spring, pockets are forming in the snow, and you can easily sink... especially if your not set up for it either... the trails haven't been heavily ran and the snow isn't packed down on the trails either...
  18. keep me in the loop on that one. as long as I still have the car I'll try to make that run this year. I didn't have time to stop last year while I was moving home.
  19. I might be up for a sand lake dune run or tillamook forest run in a couple months... no guarantee, but i'd like to make a trip to the dunes before I sell the car. hmm... maybe a moses lake run...
  20. there's a place in the reader's rides section where you can post 20 pics and a descrition of your car. or you can use the img tags using photobucket or some other site to host and post your pics.
  21. the only thing is, that there's not enough subaru owners that are willing to fork out the cash for research and development. several times we have found a company or 2 willing to r&r products like lockers, but the initial development cost is going to be on our hands... and it isn't cheap... first rounds of like 10 lockers were between 500 to 1000 each several years ago... for now i see soobs staying as a cottage industry. in some ways that's better anyhow. don't get me wrong i'd love to see the industry blow up for the soobs or at least get a fizzle, but i just don't see it happening, it actually looks like the community is fizzling. there used to always be new pics of runs and such, now it's a lot further inbetween any pics and runs.
  22. http://www.pnw4wda.org/trails/idaho/index.htm http://www.trailsource.com/scripts/three.asp?STATENAME=Idaho&TYPE=OHV http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/events/02014wd_north_idaho_trail_club/index.html google... not a lot of help... but some info... as for uberoo, urban wheeling is generally illegal. you might want to watch what you are posting. reckless acts like that can paint a bad image for responsible wheelers. which is an image that the community as a whole is fighting to keep the eco-nazi's off our back, and keep our trail systems open.
  23. the rest of the bling for the suzuki has arrived...
  24. rofl.... who buys a car, then doesn't register or carry insurace? fyi chopped up and lifted vehicles are a target for a cops. i've been pulled over just to be inspected if I was legal...
