  1. nice! how the ehck do you get your computer to print that? I've tried for many a day to figure something like that out...
  2. if you get i t, i have an 81 i am parting out with everything it sounds like you need except seats. let me know!
  3. i have a picture of the back of my wagon with the plastic out, i just have to find it. could be a while, but i'll post it if it will help....
  4. if it were ME, i would just move toAlaska or something and then call it good. no repairs required.....
  5. it's not THAT hard to get dirty! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
  6. who needs the gas station attendants cleaning your windows!!!! In Cali we have homeless people that will do it at a stop light for a buck and its the best damn window cleaning job i've ever had!! I think its that they wipe it with news paper... it really does work well:banana:
  7. thats CRAZY rust! makes me feel better about my own rust patch on my brat!!!
  8. if you dont want to rip the carpet up, you can get a little space heater and run it like crazy inside with the windows down.... thats what i did, seemed to work well.
  9. i never even LOOK at my car without having my repair manual at my side!!!
  10. alrighty, well thanks for the ok to come along. I'd love to get my wagon lifted, but im just waiting for a used lift to come up for sale as i cant afford a new one, then i suppose i'll be able to keep up a little better, though i certainly dont mind the occasional rock to the floow boards now and then!!
  11. its only the first time i brake. then after that its fine until i turn the car off and let it sit.... i'm not sure.. i'll try doing some basic stuff monday and progress to the crappy jobs if the simple things dont work....
  12. hey i could really use some help on a couple of things on my wagon if you guys wouldnt mind my stoppin by whenever you get together. Where you guys wheel will i need a moded rig, or can i make it bare bones??
  13. hey, thanks for the heads up. the seats are there and they are in great shape. they are grey.... how much do you think they sell for? The guy at this yard has kinda steep prices, so i want to make sure i can afford to pull them and the nsell them for what i put into them. i HATE losing money pullin parts for people!!!
  14. why what do you need? i'll be more than happy to pull it for you and ship it if it's worth the price of shipping... let me know!
  15. i can certainly get you the first two things if they are there no problem. I was thinkin of pulling the entire lighting assemblies anyways since they seem to break alot on me.. the third thing though, you'll have to give me some more detail on how to find and pull the part. im not much on anything but body work yet (still tryin to learn the ropes under the hood....) so if you or someone else can provide me with some insight as to where to look, what to look for and how the heck to get it out, i'll be more than happy to grab it... (well, it's just starting to snow here.. so if it lets up, i'll be going tomorrow still... a little bit of pullin parts in a blizzard never hurt anyone!! haha)
  16. this guy who is a "mechanic" (a horrible one if you can even call him that) says the rear brakes are sticking.... i've never heard of such a thing, any thoughts on that? thanks to you two who have responded thus far by the way...
  17. so i have discovered a new "special noise" on my car.... the first time a apply the breaks when i am driving i hear a loud "thump" from ny rear brakes and they dont stop too well for a second... after that, they are fine with no notable sounds, until i turn the car off, let it sit for a couple minutes and the nturn it on and drive again. then same scenario all over again... sticking drum?? I dont know!! infact, i know NOTHING about brakes... any input would be great. thanks!!!!
  18. there is a set of 13 in white powder coats out here in the local yard... need to be recoated though... probably not worth the while to ship though.
  19. Well, they're special to me!! haha... i intend to own a RHD Brat and a RHD STI before i die!!!!
  20. Took a trip to my loca lyard today. they are trying to clean it up and are going to crush all of these cars very soon. took an inventory and figured i'd ask if anyone needed anything. they had some newer stuff that i posted in the newer gen. board if you need it. As for the older stuff, they have an '83 GL wagon with a good body, and marginal interior, and an 88 or 89 justy with less than 90K. the car i REALLY wish i had gotten there for when it first got towed in is a 91 RHD legacy... I WANT A RHD BRAT!!!!!! I believe it to be my destiny to own one!! haha... anyways, if you need anything off of either of these, or the others i posted, let me know and i'll go pull them tomorrow.
  21. here's the count i took on teh cars at my local yard today. the guy said they will be crushing them soon, so i figured id see if any of ya'll need anything from them first....'91 legacy wagon, '93 impreza L sedan, '91 RHD legacy wagon, and 95 legacy LSI. let me know if you need anything, i'll run and pull it tomorrow
  22. I would suggest having you mom call the lawyer instead of you. they tend to practice a bit more empathy with someone older (lame but true). Also, if you cant find a lawyer to talk to, you can ALWAYS go down to your local court house. They should have a law library there. The law librarian is going to be either a practicing or retired lawyer. They may not SPECIALIZE in auto accidents, but they will either know someone who does that's willing to help, or they will be able to help you find info in the books as to how to procede. hope that helps, and i hope it doesnt come to all of the "Lawyer" crap-o-la:mad:
  23. to my own defense, i think that the picture was taken after the "high point" of my splash..... cuz after the puddle i couldnt see ANYTHING and had to use 1/2 my washer fluid!!! haha:banana:
