I just found a 95 legacy on craigslist and was just wondering what you all thought it was worth ,Its a rolled car with 105,000 on the ticker2.2 5spd awd. this would be a swap for my current legacy witch is an auto of the same year Looking to swap the motor and possible the tranny. Will rebuild the old 2.2 for my brat which already has the d/r 5 spd

went out and bought some poured about half in the tank the other half I ran through the intake on my legcy. this car has some blow by issues probably bad rings and valve seals at stop lights the car would literally fill with smoke. to the point where I didnt like to drive it. Well today after I did then treatment I noticed one of my tires was low so while I aired it up I let it idle just to see what it would do. When I got in afterwards there was not a hint of smoke or the usual acrid smell of burned oil. +1 for sea foam next I'll use some on my brat.

How did you end up doing over all ? didyou runin 2wd 4wd what will you be doing different next year ie what did you learn?

is your racing season over around here it ended last weekend how did you end up doing did you run in 4wd?

so what you put it in the gas or pour it down the intake when running the motor?

sounds like a stripped hub pretty common had a few like that if you can put it in gear while it is running and have some one look to see if the castle nuts are turning, if so thats what it is. good luck! just realized you are talking about a 96 legacy so above info was for older gen cars.

don't know if this will help but my 86 brat is vented. the only other thing I can think of was a 83 wagon 2wd was solid.

I have that same problem with my starter and yeah got to talk to them show them who in charge ,yeah right!

Is the wheel base as long as the wheel width. whats your turn radius ? even w/out a lift that thing will probably go through some ************e good job.

what years came with roller rockers ? and were the adjustable ones different than others I have a 95 2.2 legacey with the auto tranny would this have roller rockers?. adjustible? ??? BUMP!

Can't blame you for trying but I can fabricate with the best of them. just wanted some examples on how to mount it so I don't have my trailer passing me on the highway.

want to add a trailer hitch to my 86 brat. I have a stock bumper and I need some ideas on how to mount it so if you could take a picture of how yours is mounted and post it I would be very grateful thanks in advance TT.

lots of good advice so far one thing that has worked in the past for me is to file down two flat surfaces on any exposed bolt an use a wrench to turn it. If there is no exposed bolt then use a dremel to cut a slot in the bolt and turn it with a screwdriver. the more you mess with it the more it will want to come out drilling filing grinding will tend to heat up the bolt allowing lube to better penetrate. It helps to be more stubborn than the bolt:rolleyes:

You can install the 96 adjustable roller rockers on any of the motors...a nice upgrade. Send those cams off to Delta to have a grind put on and these EJ22's really move the car nicely. where does it say the city is the seller. the seller is probably a private party who bought it at auction from the impound.

he probably bought it at auction and is selling it at a huge profit to himself.

not trying to start an argument but you say impounded I say stolen I don't know if or why he didn't pay the tickets but I do know that taking away somebodies mode of transportation and making it more difficult to go to work is not a sensible solution to any problem.
