BRAT registration, car or truck?
[quote name= The way Wisconsin Tests is lame too. Dyno roller style. Some yahoo gets in you're car and *drives* it on the rollers. He watches a screen with a graph he is supposed to follow speed wise' date=' accelerating and decelerating. Problem is the graph is the same for all cars. They should use a *slower* graph for smaller cars. It doesn't reflect the real world at all. So big V8 and V6 cars with lots of power, barely need to rev or have full throttle applied to match the graph speeds. My poor little soobie gets run wide open and revved to 5500 just to keep up to the graph. (I've had to be retested because the guy couldn't get my car to keep up the first time) So the big cars breeze by, but the little old cars that don't have alot of horsepower get wailed on. Which engine is going to put out more pollution the one barely idleing or the one being driven WOT to Redline????[/quote] you must have lived in milwaukee cuz I aint seen no emission testers yet in northern sconsin. P.S. the test you described are the same as in CA.

Can this be fixed? (Picture link added)
You forgot the tetanus shot! If I had a brat that looked like that I would fabricate or modify a frame and run toy axles front &back motor and tranny Optional depends what is available.

wheel seals
Does anyone know of a site where I can buy wheel seals by their measurments? I am running turbo axles in my brat and finding the right seals is becoming a real pain. The housing is 2.835 and the ridge on the axle that the seal rides on is 2.283. Natioal lists the seals part #at 225872 but all the parts stores around here can't get them.

dual range vs AWD
will an xt clutch fit on a brat flywheelfrom what i have read you need an ea82 flywheel? and has anyone ever locked an ej center diff either by welding the viscous plates or perhaps a bolt through them to lock it up.
-
dual range vs AWD
see thats why I posted this are you saying the 95 tranny has a ls central diff as in its not a 50/50 tipe of all wheel drive? cuz I was under the impresion that it was.

Potential 2.2 donor ???
I have recently bought a rolled 95 leg for the motor and tranny. It will be a lot of work to retreive the harness and what not. It matters how smashed it is I spent about five days working 3-5 hours each day to strip mine down to nothing, but for that price you cant go wrong.after its stripped sell it for scrap and you could possibly make half your investment back.

dual range vs AWD
I am sitting here looking at my brat......... pondering the meaning of life and what transmission to put into my brat when I do the 2.2 conversion. It currently has the 1.8 stock motor and the D/R turbo trans from a 86 87 rx I think? 25 splined axles I already have to use the dual range or the awd 5 spd the rear drive shaft was custom made and I believe would work with either trans. If I went with the D/R I would still need the fly wheel re drilled but I already have the adaptor plate, the downside to the D/R is the smal clutch you have to use and the fact that the low range is only 1.2/1.the awd 5spd that I have came from the 95 leg donor car. The way it looks now is that I will use the awd trans and save the dual range for a spare possibly modifying it for a lower low gear from a nonturbo 5 spd. what do you think are there things that i am missing /should know .
