  1. Also, where are these O-rings and how many need to be replaced?
  2. Dan, your A/c needs to be recharged. The problem with that is that it is now illegal to use the type of refrigerant that your car has. You need the new type, but at the same time, you will need to replace the hoses and seals with ones that are compatable with the new type of refrigerant. I told you this before I left... Be glad you aren't here in Vegas! It is soooooo hot, 97*F in the SHADE!!! Thank god everyone down here has A/C that works!!! HAHAHAHA:drunk:
  3. I think that the magazine would satisfy everyone if it was split 50% for 1990 and older and 50% of 1991 and newer. I think it would be a waste of my time to have a rag that is even 80% new school and 20% old school because my Dad has a WRX and I've read most of the stuff thats out there for them. I want to read somthing that pertains to the car I drive, not the new stuff and an occasional paragraph or two about a brat or GL.
  4. Dan, you are manic! Its just a cigarette lighter, your car is not fast enough to need a radar detector, plus, if you keep your eyes open and look for cops, you have a 0% chance of getting a false reading like that silly POS radar detector you are using does! You are sooooo LAZY!!
  5. Matt, your wagon never even ran right!!!!
  6. I think an awesome tv ad would show the forester, baja and outback doing some heavy offroading because thats what they are intended for, offroad! Show the STi and legacy turbo cutting it up on a race track and your set for all their cars
  7. Funny, my 84 turbo wagon passed emissions on its first try and lepetitprince's brat passed on its second try after we changed the oil, air filter, PCV valve, fuel filters, spark plugs and wires.
  8. Well Dan and I drove his brat a bunch yesterday and after a while it got a little hard to strat. Had to pump the gas and crank it for 4-5 seconds. This continued for a while and after driving on the freeway for about 15 min at high speed, when we would get off and be driving slowly (5-10mph) the car would putter and idle would be pretty unsteady. The car usually idles fine but yesterday it was kind of erratic, not jumpy, but not steady. I should mention that this car has a small leak in one of the headgaskets and has a hitachi carb. What is wrong and would a weber fix this problem?
  9. Ok, so Dan (Lepetitprince) and I (Plus the Papa) are heading up to Mt Baker to run an Auto X with Dad's WRX and Dan's Brat. Dad's car is stock except for the boost gauge and the Goodyear F1 DS G3 tires and Dan's Brat has a set of my enkei wheels with some decent performance rubber on them. The tires on the enkeis are much better than the tires he had on the stock steel wagon wheels, so that should help prevent the car from washing out into understeer. Dad and I placed 1-2 in C6 last month and we hope to repeat that tomorrow and I hope Dan will place in the top half of novice (He hasn't been driving for very long and has never been racing), plus there are a bunch of modded late model cars running in novice lately, so Dan's chances of placing high don't look good. I'll be posting a report Sunday night with a rundown of out laps and hopefully some sick pics! Wish us luck!
  10. Keep anything you think you will ever need!
  11. Since nobody seems to have done so already, I'm calling "DIBS!"
  12. Stay away from the set in the marketplace! My friend is trying to get those!
  13. Requesting pics of the mounts installed on the car!
  14. I attached mine to the AT signal line just like subi81 did. Works great in that spot! You can't attach it to a line coming off the intake beacuse that is before the turbo and it won't be making any pressure there, just a lot of vaccum! Just a thought!
  15. The feed-back carbs (Hitachi or Carter/weber) that are factory on our subes have the O2 sensor thingy so adding that would be redundant.
  16. Yeah, thats quite a jump in value!!!
  17. I have the frame and the passenger's side glass if you're interested.
  18. I don't think the rear windows will interchange. Gen 1 is 1978 to 1981 and Gen 2 is 1982 to 1987/8
  19. Well, bremerton is kinda out of the way for an impromptu off road trip, but maybe at some point!
  20. Well, since the XT6 flywheel doesn't even weigh a pound less than a regular EA82 flywheel, I would say, take it down more. Yes, lightening it too much will make it harder to get off the line cleanly and may allow the engine to drop out of its power band, but acceleration will be improved!
  21. Cool, thanks Matt. I might try to get up there this afternoon.
  22. My buddy and I area getting antsy and were wondering if anyone has any plans to go out in the next couple of weeks for a light offroading trip. Anyone got plans? We don't know of any good 4X4 places along the I-90 corador so if anyone could help us with that also, that'd be awesome!
  23. Right, I'll try that. Thanks guys!
