  1. First off, running rich will cause an engine to run cooler, not hotter. Reason for this is a more controlled burn. Lean= detination=bad for exhaust temps and engine. Second, Unless your running a turbo system on an inline engine, exhaust wrap will hurt your car because the pipes hang down under your car and can absorb water and promote rusting of your pipes. In Corky Bell's Maximum Boost, he says that ceramic coating is a much better/durable solution to exhuast wrap.
  2. No. Probably because there was not much mype about the older subes as performance icons when they were introduced.
  3. I have a GL thats being ripped apart.
  4. It is a universal pod, so it is up to you, but it would probably fit well in a single DIN radio mount.
  5. My Dad went to Europe once and bought a Saab while there and imported it back to the States.
  6. CRX a-pillar pods seem to be close, but not perfect. Check my albums to see the ones I have for sale. http://usmb.net/gallery/album114/DSC00744?full=1 The bugeye-duel pod is gone, but the others are avalible.
  7. Not of the pics work for me.
  8. Anyone have pics of a hood scoop (Besides TWE's car) on an EA81?
  9. No, I was talking about the LSD.
  10. Ha ha, fat chance on that LSD. I don't have that kind of money for a rear diff, other parts, yes, but not an LSD. I'll wait on that 'til I find one in the PAP. What is their policy on donated vehicles?
  11. Is there another RX tranny and rear diff? I've been looking for one for a long time. I can trade my tranny too. Might need some of the stuff off that 83 turbo wagon too.
  12. Alright, that be cool if you came and watched, but I think you should race anyway, but old people dont turn in the fast times! hahaha! Wagonpowaa and I are going to build a rally car at some point.
  13. Oh, I don't care about class, I just want to see you run your rig! You might be able to get by by calling it an import conversion or something, and not have to run in a street touring (Engine swap) class.
  14. Anyone who wants to come with us next time is welcome. There weren't enough subes there! Corky, when you finish your rig, I want you to come and join us!
  15. What happened to your bumper? Looks mangled!
  16. On Lepetitprince's brat he failed emissions. After changing the oil/filter, fuel filters, plugs, wires, PCV valve and air filter and a new gas cap, it passed with flying colors! My turbo wagon was bought at an auction with an unknowen history and passed emissions without any work the first time! Its amazing how simple these cars are to run! simple little things make the biggest difference in the world!
  17. Well, my Dad and I went up to Bellingham today for the CSCC event #2. We co-drove his WRX in C6 class and placed an astonishing 1-2! I ran a 57.XX and he ran a 58.3X where the average was around a minute and the best times in dedicated race cars (Damn Bugeye Sprites) were 50.XX. Beat a lot of cars! The list includes an STi, bunch of VWs, bunch of MR2s, bunch of Porsches, a C4 corvette, modded WRXs and RSs. Mods to our car include a boost gauge and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 tires on stock wheels... Thats it!
  18. I would keep it, but if you don't want it, I'll take it! Trade or cash!
  19. Me! How much will they be? If they're too much, I'll just do the 3M windsheild compound mod.
  20. Those high torque numbers are there because they dyno the engines when they're hooked up to gear reductions for the propellers. I think they mention that on the websites.
  21. Hahahaha, I think we've all seen that list. SUB4 heads (Dual intake and exhaust ports) are $2000+ per set and Ram Performance or some other company sells duel intake/single exhaust port heads for $1500. I got a bunch of prices on this when I thought they were cheaper.
  22. You aren't the first person to run across this! There are really no downsides to these heads (They are designed to flow at high engine speeds, airplanes you know) except for the price. Just hovering above $2000 for a set of HEADS ONLY! I plan on doing this when I graduate from college, if I have enough money then!
  23. Actually now its Wagonpowaa's! Us buddies gotta look out for one another!
  24. I have a brat I plan on cutting up. If you want the only brat in Israel with T-tops, let me know!
