  1. I borrowed this from a dead thread which can be found here. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24227&highlight=GM+Alternator Your Palladium P7157 alternator fits the following vehicles: BUICK 1977 CENTURY 1977 ELECTRA 1978 LESABRE CADILLAC 1980-1984 COMMERCIAL CHASSIS 1980-1984 DEVILLE 1980-1985 ELDORADO 1979-1985 FLEETWOOD 1980-1985 SEVILLE CHEVROLET 1984-1985 P30 VAN GMC 1984-1985 P35/P3500 VAN OLDSMOBILE 1979 CUTLASS 1979 CUTLASS CALAIS 1979 CUTLASS CRUISER 1979 CUTLASS SUPREME Good Luck Mike
  2. Very nice Rene.. I love the license plate location it just looks clean.
  3. Bearings are pretty simple though time consuming.. Once the knuckle is out it takes about 15-20minutes per knuckle. I use a piece of threaded iron pipe to tap them in.. and finish make sure they are seated with a piece of brass rod and a hammer.
  4. Grunt? I think I will bring a stick as well as tools.
  5. If you have a spare hub knock two studs out and mount up just for a look. I dont see why you couldn't put it on the ground so long as you don't drive it. I don't think the hubs would be very expensive at PAP.
  6. But there is no coast in Utah!
  7. After you get LB wipped into shape you will have to bring him back out here for a show or two.
  8. I am pretty sure it was an option though my brat didn't have it.
  9. It shouldn't be long then.. another year or two and the PNW can have another sube fanatic. Then we will see about getting your other half hooked.
  10. Very nice! I am glad that I was wrong. I really need to get on the ball. I gotta fix one finish another and start on a third and soon.
  11. I hope that it is just the angle but it looks like there is no spacer/ stereo adapter in there which on most decks is necessary for the newer deeper radios. On another note your hatch looks freaking sweet!! I am jealous though I think I am done daydreaming about going lifted...Maybe. Mike
  12. Even after your trimming I would avoid hard cornering.. your suspension will compress to do some serious rubbing and or cutting on your tires.
  13. I know I have heard some of your less known artists. Some of it wasn't bad.
  14. So what are you sayin Rob? I like Saliva and Seether. Classics huh ok I'm ok with old school Metallica or maybe Kiss some Aerosmith I will even throw in some Doors:grin:
  15. I am waiting to see if you acquire a taste for hip/hop and rap!
  16. It probably sounds better inside than out...Most systems do. I really do like a good system ask Turbone. And I wasn't in my Roo. Mike
  17. Until he breaks something in a catastrophic way I don't see him getting rid of it anytime soon.
  18. Got you!! You were the one disturbing my mid morning mocha! Driving through my hole in the wall town with your loud stereo! Not that I care and if it hadn't been for your stereo I wouldn't have noticed you b4 you were gone. Mike
  19. No need to rewire the car immediately.. I would tap the headlight circuit with new relays and quick fix(spade terminal) the headlights and see if that solves the problem.. You could also as a check and see hot wire the lights to the battery to do it even quicker.. If the lights are brighter then your wires are old and gaining resistance with age and should be replaced with something heavier duty.ie if they are running 14 awg replace with 10-12 awg. It is a simple process its the darn relays that kick my butt.
  20. Try this I have heard of one or two board members that did this and loved it. All info is here > http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/relays/relays.html Keep us posted. Mike
  21. Tapping for power is ok. The Factory ground I do not trust with newer more powerful radios. I grounded mine to the metal bracket that the lower dash console is secured to.. I also ran a fused 14 AWG primary wire from the battery to make sure I wasn't going to cook anything.. That is the wire that powers your deck, the accessory wire is just a signal that tells the radio to turn on and doesn't draw much power. Mike
  22. I would start with that axle.. and get a new roll pin. Other possible causes something isn't tight check everything. Bad Ball joint , bearings going out ( they usually grind not clunk). Mike
  23. Not especially. They still have their quirks though not as problematic.. I can't say I will never own a turbo car but it is highly unlikely. With my mechanical skills ( HA!) it would spend more time @ Qman's or Turbone's house getting fixed.. I don't have the money to reimburse them for their time.. God know's I have done that all too often. Mike
  24. EA81 types from other OHV heads. I have a two heads hanging out in the back of a fixer beast and thought I may be able to put them to use if I knew what they belonged to.. big thing I think would be solid or hyd lifters? Mike
  25. A co-worker saw that and told me about it and didn't call me GGRRR!
